I have to admit that when I arrived at Santa Cruz I thought I'd made a terrible mistake in booking this holiday. The City itself is very industrial on the outskirts and is not a traditional holiday resort type destination. After exploring the city the next day I was relieved that there are some lovely bars restaurants and open spaces in the city well within walking distance of the hotel. It is a totally Spanish resort, there is not a lot for kids to do and most people do not speak English. The restaurant s are mainly Tapas and generally close at around midnight. There are no tourist type shops at all. I traveled with my family 2 kids aged 12 and 14. We had a good time but it was tricky at times because you have to make an effort. Having said that it was a good holiday the city has amazing shops and the outdoor lido is well worth a visit. The beach is also lovely but again no shops nearby. There was no where to even buy floats or beach stuff. The hotel is first class in terms of service, facilities and location. My wife and I would return but for a shorter stay and if I could make one change to our stay we should have hired a car. To visit the South.

Much delay than the one who attended us at the entrance yesterday and lack of bath soap, I hope the facilities improve and it does not have air conditioning

Very decent hotel, deserves 5 stars considering the price-quality ratio. The hotel is clean and modern, with two large pools on the roof, plenty of sunbeds, a bar, shower, and toilet. Unfortunately, the rooftop is only open until 6 PM. The rooms are pleasant, featuring glass-walled bathrooms, balconies with chairs and a table. The downside was the single beds (they tend to separate), but the room is cleaned daily, and towels are regularly changed. Excellent base for exploring, 4 minutes to the bus terminal (buses are not heard), and a few minutes to the beach. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby. On the downside, there is an absolute lack of parking spaces (as on the whole of Tenerife, though). Breakfasts are decent but monotonous, although you can organize them in such a way that during a 5-7 day stay, you can eat something different every day. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I return to Puerto, I will definitely aim for this hotel again.

We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

Very nice Finca, with pool and restaurant. Delightful food and good breakfast. I was only 2 days there. The rooms were beautiful, large, with chairs and table outside. Very quiet! Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is only in the living room, that should also be possible in the rooms. Very nice staff and staff. Who doesn't need the whole tourism trouble is right here! I can only recommend

Overall we had a very good experience at this hotel. All the staff were kind, pleasant, smiley and helpful, always. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was on the seaward side with a balcony and spectacular sea view, but very noisy as the Atlantic waves crash on the rocks directly below. We didn't mind this, but if you want a quieter environment, ask for a room on the garden side. Breakfast (buffet style) offered a lot of choice, including cooked food, fruit, pastries, cold cuts/ cheeses etc. The evening meal buffet was also perfectly acceptable, although we mostly chose to eat out as there are various tapas bars and restaurants within 10-20 minutes walking distance. Loro park entrance is a 15 minute walk away, and impressive black sand beaches and associated beach bars another 5-10 minutes. What we liked the most about the hotel was the extensive and beautiful sub-tropical gardens, where you can swim in 3 pools located at different levels on the site. Because the gardens are so large, you can find a quiet spot if you need one. There's also a pool bar serving drinks and light meals. There were a few downsides, but they were minor. The decor is a little dated and our room could have done with a refresh. To go up in the lift you need to use your room key card, but the card readers are not reliable. It can be a little frustrating trying to get the thing to work so that you can access your room. But these ******* were well outweighed by the positives. We felt that the hotel offered good value and we would stay there again.

Can’t fault the Hotel it’s magnificent, rooms were very good , food was good but I am fussy about fatty meats etc so not the best to give a review but all in all there was always something to eat for even the pickiest customer, the lady on the grill making omelettes in the morning made our day she was always smiling and very attentive just such a lovely lady to start your day , pools were fabulous and there is an Adult only for peace and quiet , have to say though we did see a couple of young children there and nobody to tell the father they weren’t allowed so he ignored the signs , I would have given it five stars but , a couple of things could be improved, there is no minimart or shop to get basics like water etc but they do sell 500ml cans at €2.20 so not cheap, to be fair there is a daily minibus that takes you down the hill (except weekends) to the centre at a supermarket so that sort of compensates , otherwise you are isolated at the top of a big hill and being older I wouldn’t like to walk down never mind up , we had a Mountain View that was great view of Mount Teide but it’s also got a main motorway so the noise isn’t great , if I go back I would pick a sea view next time ,all in all a fabulous holiday with a couple of little tweaks it would be first class, definitely the best hotel I have stayed at in Tenerife

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel with wonderful facilities and services including private pools with plenty of sunbeds, a gym, spa, art exhibition room, games room with pool tables and football tables and TVs showing live sports matches. There are also organised daytime activities and evening entertainment. I loved the neutral and mint earth tone colourway theme throughout the hotel which is very calming and relaxing. I also respect the hotel's commitment to sustainability by installing water filleting machines to reuse bottles and refillable soap and shampoo dispensers.
My room was warm, cozy and clean with a nice balcony view and a variety of tv channel and movie selections including Netflix. The cleaning lady was kind to remake my bed from two twin beds into a large double bed with beautiful flower petal decorations and chocolate truffle treats which were delicious and I appreciated the additional touches. The breakfast was delicious ans very filling, presented in a buffet style with so much variety and choice of different stations within the dining room (cereal and granola; fruit, salad and juice bar; toast and baguette station; pattessarie station; hot English breakfast station with a section dedicated to different preparations of eggs).
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location with stunning sea and mountain hill views and has direct access to Torviscas Beach which is less than a 3-minute walk. There are also many local shops, bars and restaurants including a mcdonalds by the beach.
I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely revisit in the future!

GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

GGuest UserWe arrived 27/9, family of 4 adult ladies. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were delighted to be shown to a newly refurbished 2 bed, 2 bathroom, 2 balcony apartment in J block. It was absolutely ideal for us, lots of space, everything clean and new. There was even a filtered water tap. Couldn’t fault it. The complex itself is lovely with lots of bars serving excellent food, drink and entertainment. Highlights are Sunday & Wednesday afternoon entertainment in the square and the excellent quiz nights in the sun inn. You’re also a short stroll to the beach and shops if venturing out. Pools are lovely, yes you have to book a bed the day before but it wasn’t a problem and often spare beds can be found at the bottom pool. The top pool tended to be busier as that’s where the entertainment team are based. The complex does have plenty of stairs but we knew that when booking and there are plenty of friendly staff to help you up and down with luggage etc. We were able to keep the room on for a couple of hours on our last day at a charge of €10 per hour. We also used the excellent, clean, newly refurbished courtesy shower room in reception before leaving the resort. It was fabulous. Overall 10/10 from us. We’ll see you next year sunset bay.

GGuest UserI was sceptical about my stay here due to the amount of mixed reviews but i couldn't really fault the hotel. It seems as though most reviews are from All Inclusive customers so maybe this is not recommended? We were bed & breakfast only. Starting with check in, we arrived around 2/3am due to a flight delay. The receptionist was not rude, he was extremely helpful. The hotel is in the middle of no where so we asked where the nearest shop was and he explained and marked it on a map for us to follow. Its a BP garage and its about a 15 minute walk and is 24 hours. We were in room 2089 with a pool view, room was very spacious. Bathroom, living area and separate bedroom. Room is cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. We only ate breakfast twice during our weeks stay as it wasn't very nice. Huge variety of pastries but in terms of hot food, your choice limited, mini hot dog sausages, beans, eggs and on the odd occasion hash browns but the quality was cheap and just overall, not nice. Always plenty of sun loungers available by the pool, music is played from 11-6 (or thereabouts) and there is always entertainment staff getting you involved with water sports etc. The pool bar is reasonably priced and they do lovely Pizza's! It is card only though, they do not take cash. Taxi into the main part of Las Americas is around 5 euro each way or if you go to Costa Adeje(highly recommend) it's between 6 & 8 euro. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and i don't have any complaints apart from the breakfast. The golf course view is STUNNING! The staff are lovely if you are patient with them.

GGuest UserIt's been 15 years since my last trip to Tenerife and the comments below are based on international five star hotel experiences around the globe.
So here's what I experienced on this reservation:-
Positives
1.Check in / out process fast and professional.
2.Direct beach access via the pool area.
3.Breakfast buffet with internal and external seating choices was excellent.
4.Evening entertainment between 21:00 and 23:00 Hrs was good.
Negatives
1. Allocated R3101 upon arrival and entered to find the bath tub was extremely dirty and required
solvent cleaning to remove large accumulation of water scale dirt around plug area (Approx 200mm
in dia).
Root cause of this problem is a leakage from the shower hose connection which remains to be fixed.
2. TV was on and could not be turned off. This was rectified by Maintenace changing the batteries within
the remote control.
3. Sink plunger mechanism was broken and I was shown how to remove the plug on a daily basis once
housekeeping cleaned the room.
4. Locking mechanism on the balcony sliding door is broken and extremely hard to open / closed.
5. Only one, yes one pool towel provided / guest at the pool via a plastic card that you are required to
exchange at the pool towel bar. If you forget this card it's a return trip to the room.
General Travel Tips.
1. Taxi from TFS Airport to hotel cost 25 Euro each way.
2. Hard Rock Cafe located next door (£££).
3. Great Italian, Thai, Japanese and British restaurants located on the second floor off
the shopping complex across the road from the hotel (££££)

GGuest UserI had two persons room in the northern corner of the building. The room is spacious with large bathroom and a corridor and built-in wardrobe. The hotel is nicely decorated and well maintained. The balcony was towards south-east, not very large with a table and two chairs. But as wind in El Medano is always strong and comes from the east it was not comfortable to use it, also WiFi doesn't work on the balcony and part of the room away from the corridor. There room has a fridge and electronic safety box, and TV. There are two electric sockets next to the beds, but unfortunately only one socket next to the table, which is already engaged by the fridge. The hotel staff speaks well English and is friendly. One can access the hotel either with electronic card or with PIN code of the main door and your room. The PINs are sent by email, so I suppose late arrival after 19.00, when reception closes, is possible. The hotel is located almost in the middle of El Medano, next to the only shopping center of the city featuring SuperDino and quite noisy bar. There is also smaller Supermercado Guai in 200 m. But take into accound El Medano is a very small town 1 km in diameter, so everything is in walking distance. El Medano beach is just in 300 m from the hotel. All beaches in El Medano and to the east of it are open for the wind. So they are mostly occupied by the surfers and kite-surfers. There is a small part of El Medano beach protected by the mole. 3 km to the west there is La Tejita beach, which is covered from the wind by the Montaña Roja, also offering great views over the area. There is buses 411 and 408 from El Medano going to San Isidro, where you can change to bus to the Southern Airport, other directions or do more substantial shopping in Mercadona, Lidl or HiperDino. San Isidro bus station has a machine for topping up Ten+ bus cards. In the evining people gather at Plaza del Medano, which is quite vibrant place taking into account the town is tiny comparing to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

Today I had the most incredible experience during my stay at Nest Hostel Medano in El Medano, Tenerife. Waking up at 6am, I embarked on a memorable sunrise adventure by hiking to the top of Monte Roja, where I witnessed breathtaking panoramic views and the beauty of the sunrise. Afterward, a refreshing swim at a private beach added to the tranquility of the experience. Returning to the hostel, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with amazing people. Thank you, Nest Medano, for providing me with a 5-star experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do serve delicious meals, loved the servings of their breakfast, and being a coffee drinker, they have the most delicious one there. The location in the Center of the city, the beach is 30 minutes with the public transport 5 minutes walk from the hotel. By car it’s 10-15 minutes. A perfect spot to go for evening walks. The area feels very safe in the evening, the city Center is very lively even during the week days. The area is Perfect for people travelling alone and couples or even families.
