Hotels near Hiper Dino, Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

First visit to a Hard Rock Hotel and it met my expectations. Hotel is in a small resort, which we were aware of so we had a hired car for the duration of our stay allowing us to visit bigger resorts as and whenever we wanted. Had to pay €12 per day to use hotel car park. We usually stay in 5* at Playa Del Duque and have never had to pay to park. HRH is a money spinner, we were half board and found drinks were expensive. Lunch at Constant Grind also expensive albeit really great quality. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening, some better than others. Room was great - we were in a gold suite and can’t really fault it. Breakfast and dinner in the buffet was manic! Very very busy and like a school canteen, food was generally of good quality, however in the evening it wasn’t a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It was a case of eat and leave as soon as possible. Would I return? Probably not, however it seems lots of guests were returning customers.

We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

We’ve just returned from a 7 night stay at this beautiful hotel. We’re a family of 3 which includes our 20 month old toddler. Just to set the tone of this review….The hotel couldn’t have been more perfect for all 3 of us. - We booked a junior suite and we’re lucky to get allocated a suite that has separate bedrooms. This was a hugely appreciated bonus as that meant my husband and I were still able to spend the evening together once our toddler was asleep without having to sit in a dark hotel room. I’m sure other parents know what I mean and what a massive difference this makes. :) -Food was super tasty and varied. I highly recommend the grill station outside of the restaurant. The lamb cutlets were delicious. Plenty of choice also for children/toddlers. The staff was so super friendly and rushed to make sure a high Chair was readily available and a kids plate/cutlery was quickly provided too. I loved the fact that there were lots of families with children but also plenty of couples by themselves. It’s high class and definitely 5* and the hotel with its set up has found a great way of keeping up that standard. -All pool areas are really well payed out in my opinion. The kids area (which is absolutely perfect) includes two pools, water slides for slightly older children and a couple of small slides for toddlers. The outdoor play area is brilliant and has everything a toddler (and older kids too) would need. They also have an indoor play area attached to the restaurant which had been very helpful when our toddler didn’t want to sit at the table. At least one of us was able to eat, whilst the other one was in the play area with her. Genius 😊 - The kids club was incredible. The staff is super friendly and our daughter loved spending a couple of hours a day with some new friends in the crèche. No doubt, this feature therefore allowed my husband and I to make use of the Spa or simply chill by the pool for an afternoon. Thank you to the whole team for making this possible. You guys rock! These were just some of our highlights, and I could go on and on but all in all this hotel definitely deserves this great review. We will definitely be back and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 'luxury' family holiday. We can’t wait to book again! The room is large and the view is very good. Breakfast can be eaten until 11 o'clock, and it is very rich. The service attitude is very good, and the facilities are very complete, reaching the 5-star level. The theme of the dinner buffet is different every day, with live music

Yet another fantastic holiday at the Mirador - I forget how many visits, but I'm into double figures, both solo, with relatives or friends. That should tell you what an exceptional place this is. The situation, style, rooms, gardens and general ambience are just Paradise, made even more so by the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any one of them in all departments, and always with willingness and a smile. It's almost unfair to single out anyone, but the assistant management ”girls team” of Carla, Victoria, Claudia and Isabel are exceptional and Diana in Star Prestige is a gem. Tiziana - currently on maternity leave - was missed, but she can rest assured her team are doing her proud in her absence! Without exception the restaurant, bar, reception and room & sunbed service staff are superb. If you are looking for the ultimate holiday with that extra luxury and serenity, this is the place, especially if you indulge yourself in the Star Prestige upgrade. And I haven't yet mentioned the superb sunshine! You won't be disappointed, and - like me - you'll be back for more! See you at Christmas!

This has been the most disappointing holiday I have ever had. Please read on, but if you want my quick summary: This hotel is good in some ways, but the price is grossly wrong for the level of service it is delivering. It is a hotel of days gone by, but it has kept its outrageously high prices, and fails to deliver at almost every turn. I have stayed in hotels 1/4 the price and had better service and experience. This hotel is the definition of all fur coat and ... well you get it. We paid over £8000 GBP for 4 adults for just 6 nights stay, and this only included breakfast. This also was in the off-season of October. Overcharged on arrival: The hotel charged me twice, resulting in £140 in unnecessary bank fees. Although refunded, this mistake shouldn't have happened. Dead flowers: Wilted flowers were left all over the hotel. Unsafe conditions: Plug sockets were hanging off the walls. Filthy environment: The floors and corridors were dirty, and the grout looked like it hadn't been cleaned in decades. Plumbing issues: My parents' room smelled of sewage due to faulty plumbing throughout the stay. Flooded bathroom: My grandmother's shower basin was blocked with someone else's hair, causing flooding. Inaccessible for elderly: The hotel’s layout made it almost impossible for our 85-year-old grandmother to move around, contrary to what the photos suggest. Exorbitant fees: After paying over £8,000 for 6 nights, we were still charged £20 per person to play pitch and putt on the hotel's own grounds. Unhygienic breakfast: Dirty cups were used at breakfast. Shower hygiene: Previous guests' hair remained in my shower basin for the first three days. Poor poolside facilities: Towels at the pool were often ripped and frayed, yet still in use. Unsafe lifts: My mother nearly broke her arm tripping due to unsecured mats inside the lift. Inconvenient lift service: One lift was out of order, and we were told to just walk to another, without any assistance or apology. Not a 5* attitude. Not even a sign on the door to apologise for inconvenience. Waiting for lift for my elderly grandmother to be able to get down to breakfast at 9am was a nightmare. The reception just didn't care. Poor hygeine around pool: Soap dispensers appear to never have been cleaned in years. Unclean exercise area: The decking for morning stretching was covered in bird droppings that had clearly not been cleaned for months. Inadequate room service: Ordered a pasta arrabiata, which arrived as overcooked pasta with barely any sauce—a complete embarrassment. Absurd poolside restrictions: Denied food by the pool without wearing trousers, then told we had to order snacks 24 hours in advance. No basic options like crisps or fruit were available, despite charging €190 for a massage. If this hotel had of cost half the price, we would have probably overlooked these issues, but throughout the holiday we noticed more and more problems and we just feel totally ripped off. This 6 day trip was not worth

A wonderful hotel. An excellent location, very comfortable rooms, (although the bath in the middle of the room is a bit odd). Free wifi worked on our phones and a chromebook with no issues. The food was excellent and the staff deserve a high level of praise, they are welcoming, efficient and are well organised. We went to the roof bar a few times and it was a wonderful setting with reasonably priced drinks. We were in room 730 which had a wonderful view out to sea, the coffee capsules were replenished, water was replenished and chocolates delivered every evening along with extra towels if needed. I look at some other reviews and I wonder if they were in the same hotel! Many thanks to Jorge for a wonderful welcome, he explained how everything in the room worked and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel.

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again!
