Hotels near Mirador De La Verdellada, Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Great place to stay to explore the northern part of Tenerife. The staff are helpful and friendly. The pool is nice, a tad small for the size of the hotel but there is a very nice beach close by (Playa de Teresitas). Breakfast is diverse and tasty. We had cocktails at the bar downstairs each night, great vibe and nice drinks.

This hotel is excellent we loved every part of it. Stayed in room 620 ideal for reception/pool (level 7) and restaurant (level five) the hotel is spotless the staff are excellent and the sound of the sea each evening is soothing. Tips The hotel is a bit of a distance to the main town it’s very hilly and we only went down once you can walk a kind of cliff path but it’s full of stairs which after a while kills you and gets very tedious. Go out of the hotel walk to the top road go right and you will see a walkway with steps follow them down (they are called the Agatha Christie steps as there is a statue as she had a house there each step has a book title on them) just keep following the road down to the sea front loads of shops and restaurants plus the lido ( which is due to open soon) you can either walk back or get a taxi (4/5 euros) we didn’t bother going again as the Main Street above the hotel had many bar’s restaurants and shops very reasonable priced excellent service not much of a party time if you like that kind of thing down town will be better for you. Food Breakfast is amazing plenty of choice and easy to get through Evening meal got board quickly so used only a couple of times drinks expensive and didn’t approve they charged for water you pay for drinks on the way out or you can charge money to your room and top up when it runs out we preferred to pay as we go drinks wise we preferred to eat out and give to local family business etc. The pool The rule is no personal towels you need to hire them from reception ten euros (refundable with receipt) to change for fresh one one euro exchange but we found we could use both our own and the hotels the reason they like you to use them to show that you are staying there and haven’t sneaked in. The bar is good very professional service. The room Lovely views over the sea the bathroom has been the best I have ever had abroad lives the multi shower lights and the screen window trick great fun to play with tv is crap so we always take a fire stick power lead and remote control Wi-Fi is very good the codes allow two devices per ticket but you can have as many as you like we had three tablets two phones and a fire stick don’t forget to put in the code for your fire stick to make it work you might not get every thing you get at home but it’s better than the tv without it We booked with jet2 excellent transfers etc the excursions we booked was the body trip up the side of the island we managed to see whales and dolphins I do warn it will be a long day 11.45 we left and didn’t get back until eight pm if you don’t like rough conditions sea wise this trip might not be for you as four plus hours on a boat feeling sea sick isn’t much fun there is chance to swim off the boat the food was a bit naff not to everyone’s taste take a jumper it can start to get cold. My husband and I visited the Sol Costa Atlantis Hotel for a week in April 2024. We were very much looking forward to our stay at this particular hotel as having viewed it online, we thought it looked rather nice. Our arrival at the hotel was quite late due to having experienced a flight delay therefore, we were feeling quite tired, however, we found that the reception staff were not very welcoming or friendly, they just went through the process of getting us checked in, there was no ‘Welcome to our hotel, have you stayed with us before’, nothing of that nature, no welcome drink was offered. Once checked in, we went to our room which considering it was a 4* hotel, we were surprised at how basic the room was. We unpacked and tried to open the Safe to store our valuables. We were unable to open it so being tired, we decided to deal with everything the following morning. We were booked on a half board basis so, we got up the next morning to go for breakfast and both said how incredibly warm the room was and, because of the room temperature neither of us had slept well. We checked the air conditioning but were unable to deal with whatever the issue was. We then went for breakfast which, unfortunately, wasn’t great. We absolutely appreciate that with buffet food, due to it sitting, it can get cold quickly but, having said that, there were a lot of people staying at the hotel if the dining room was anything to go by which meant that the turnover of food from the buffet was quick so, I wouldn’t have expected the food to be as as cold as it was. Also, the toasters which were in the dining room, there just wasn’t enough of them and then, to make matters worse, when you put a slice of bread through the toaster you had to repeat the process 2 to 3 times as the bread wasn’t toasting!! Then we had the coffee machines of which you had to queue for a considerable length of time to get a coffee as again, for the amount of people, there weren’t enough coffee machines. After breakfast we went to reception to report the air conditioning issue. The chap with whom we spoke said he would get a maintenance person to fix whatever the issue was. We informed him we were out for the day so the technician could go into our room at any stage. We also asked about the Safe in our room to which the chap on reception advised that we would have to pay to use the safe. I was appalled to hear this saying to him ‘That’s daft, surely if there’s a safe in the room, it forms part of the room, it’s a bit like saying, there’s a wardrobe but you can’t hang your clothes in it until you pay to use it’. My view is if you’ve paid for a room, then you should have access to everything in that room especially the safe as it doesn’t cost the hotel any extra to allow guests access to the safe in their room!! After our day out, we came back to our room only to find that the air conditioning hadn’t been fixed much to our disappoin**ent and to make matters worse, when we reported it

Very decent hotel, deserves 5 stars considering the price-quality ratio. The hotel is clean and modern, with two large pools on the roof, plenty of sunbeds, a bar, shower, and toilet. Unfortunately, the rooftop is only open until 6 PM. The rooms are pleasant, featuring glass-walled bathrooms, balconies with chairs and a table. The downside was the single beds (they tend to separate), but the room is cleaned daily, and towels are regularly changed. Excellent base for exploring, 4 minutes to the bus terminal (buses are not heard), and a few minutes to the beach. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby. On the downside, there is an absolute lack of parking spaces (as on the whole of Tenerife, though). Breakfasts are decent but monotonous, although you can organize them in such a way that during a 5-7 day stay, you can eat something different every day. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I return to Puerto, I will definitely aim for this hotel again.

If you're a wheelchair user, please make sure to let the hotel know with plenty of notice. I use a wheelchair that doesn't fold and I couldn't get into my room without taking the wheels off as there's a wardrobe immediately as you enter the room. Fortunately, I am able to walk and only use my chair for longer distances.l, but for others, this could be a real issue. We stayed in that room for one night and they were happy enough to swap me into a different room in the morning. That first night was awful. There were concerning dips in the floor and the noise from being next to the ocean was so loud, plus the wind rattles the windows, it sounded like I was lost at sea. The receptionist was lovely and upgraded us to a family room, no issues, though I hope for the sake of others that there are double rooms available that are more accessible, not just family rooms. The family room was luckily on the other side, so it was totally silent. The breakfasts were quite stale and the milk for the cereal was warm so stuck with the crepes every morning. We did have dinner here one evening but unfortunately, when I got to the dessert stand, there was a cockroach crawling on the food. They were very apologetic and gave both of us a glass of wine as an apology, but then still had to pay full price on the meals. Fortunately, we did bring an extension cord as there weren't many sockets and not all of them even worked. There were no ceiling lights, just plug in lamps, which made it quite dim at night. The pool is barely heated but it takes a few seconds for your body to acclimatise. The mattress is quite firm and I found the pillows were far too high. Also beware that the hotel is on a VERY steep hill. Luckily, I can actually walk quite well in hot weather but I was definitely out of breath when I got from the bottom of the hill to the hotel. The WiFi is awful and I ended up just using my data. The zoo is well worth visiting though and it's a very short distance away. As you come into the hotel, it's got a huge lovely lobby which was lovely to sit in, so it really surprised me how poor everything else was. I have no ill intentions and the staff were lovely but I have to be honest.

This hotel has a great deal to recommend it. It's in a delightful old building that has been lovingly looked after, with shining woodwork everywhere and generously proportioned bedrooms (as well as extensive public rooms). However, it would be wrong to suggest that it's all old-fashioned: the TV was hi-spec and the wifi functioned very well. The breakfast too was excellent, with great choice. All in all, it probably the best of the four places we stayed in during a recent visit to Tenerife. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has been renamed and revamped. The gym is brilliant and the air conditioning was very welcome by the end of my workout. The wicker furniture on the Ocean Breeze Terrace needs replacing but does not detract from the overall experience. Some of the entertainment on the Ocean Breeze leaves a lot to be desired as mentioned by a lot of our family and friends. The gardens were the perfect place to hold our Vow Renewal Ceremony and the staff were utterly brilliant, friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our Vow Renewal or a better holiday. Many of our guests were crying when they had to go home. The pool is inviting and the pool activities were great to watch and take part in.

We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

Having visited Hard Rock in Ibiza, I was disappointed in this hotel as the standard did not live up to expectations. It was my sisters 30th and the hotel did not want to accommodate us as a family party of 10! The service was extremely slow and the staff were rude. The adult only pool had been closed, with no prior warning, due to maintenance and the pool bars were closed. As much as I appreciate that it isn’t fully into the season yet, it has put me of visiting again or recommending to friends!
