La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Cruz

Very nice hotel. We’ve spent there only one night.

Great location, the newest hotel near boardwalk. Parking is extra ($20 currently), but at least it is in a secure gated basement. Great clean rooms, front desk staff was super helpful. Would come back again!

Brand new hotel. Super clean and a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Great spot, close to Boardwalk plus other nearby attractions. Heated pool was nice, but it’s small and only 3 feet. Great for kiddos! No hot tub where there should absolutely be one on the second floor balcony, but that’s imo only.

This is our 2nd stay here. It'll be our go to for our annual trip to Santa Cruz. Super clean and the staff is amazing. They also have a legit breakfast that is included with your stay. They have a heated pool ... tho it's small and no hot tub. The water pressure is not the best, but nothing enough to drop a star. For the service, location and cleansliness I have to give it all the love I can.

We have a tall vehicle and werent aware of the underground parking when we made the reservation. The staff accommodated us by letting us park at the front entrance. We really appreciated their kindness and accommodations.

Nice place but the staff is not helpful at all

The property itself is fine. We were very disappointed in our stay. We arrived about 3 pm at check-in time and we were told our room would be available in about 10 minutes. Several times after that we were told that it would be an additional few minutes. During that time, the staff did reimburse the cost of parking and provided bottled water, but we did not get into our room until 1 hour and 45 minutes later. We were told that the delay was due to it being too busy because of Spring Break and that they couldn't keep up with the schedule. One restroom was unavailable for use and the other one was not accessible for whatever reason while we waited for our room. We were not told until nearly that time that we could leave our belongings and go do other things in the area. We wasted that time waiting for our room with the expectation that it would be ready. We were offered late check out, but that was of no help as we didn't need it due to our travel arrangement. The pull out bed was also malformed and we had to seek out bedding in order to accommodate the 5th person in our party. The attendant did provide those within the 10 minutes promised. It wasn't a great experience for us, and I don't know that we'll select again in the future should we return to the area.
