Great location! quite overpriced, for my taste, but we are IN SEASON! Room is very large and we love the balcony of the room we had! would love to stay again :)

This room was horrible. Lights and tv not working properly. Floor looked absolutely filthy. Beds were like rocks and sounded like trains moving by every time you moved.

From the beginning the office staff was not welcoming nor knowledgeable. The man in the office is very unfriendly. Really the only good thing I have to say is the location was perfect and it cost a lot.

While I think this hotel is expensive for what you get, you can’t fault the location of it. It’s a 30-second walk from the main boardwalk which is perfect. The rooms were clean while dated and the breakfast was small but can’t complain given it was free. The manager, Michael, went above and beyond to return some valuable items to us that we left behind. He was very efficient in communicating with us and with sending the items.

Nice and quiet and felt safe walking to and from the boardwalk. Breakfast was adequate and having coffee 24 hours was great.

The Carousel Beach Inn is located next to the main Boardwalk entrance and it's giant parking lot. Because of the location, there is a lot going on outside - all day until the Boardwalk closes down, especially in mid-summer. Don't expect a quiet balcony or serene beach experience. Definitely all about the Boardwalk. The staff is attentive and helpful. Free parking is a bonus. Overall the hotel property is adequate, our west facing room was updated and clean and surprisingly soundproof. Not much hotel amenities (except for free parking and breakfast bar) but the location is perfect if you are in the area to enjoy the Boardwalk.

The photos online are deceptive and the reviews of other customers were pretty inaccurate. The room was very rundown and dirty, especially the carpeting. Carpeting in the room was FILTHY, and the room wreaked of urine and mold. The bathroom was also dirty. The tile in the bathroom was replaced, but the shower head looked like it was 50 years old and full of lime scale and grime. Not to mention that they advertised two queen size beds in the room I booked, but they were two FULL SIZE, not queen size. The only redeeming qualities of the hotel were the included parking and breakfast. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but definitely does the job. And the hotel is literally a two minute walk to the boardwalk.
