Hillside Inn

I loved how updated our hotel room was. Nice new finishes. I was somewhat disappointed finding quite a few hairs left behind from guests before us. Mostly in the bathroom and shower areas. Definitely not our hair. The sink plumbing was oddly loud whenever it was running. The kitchenette area is adorable but, keep in mind, no cookware or plates/utensils to use. Please add a small curtain or blinds to the little window near the closet, as it let it tons of light when we were trying to sleep in. Lots of scuff marks, scratches and dents in the newly painted walls. The dining table and chairs should be updated as well, to fit with the new, clean look. The bed was moderately comfortable. Wish the pillows were a bit firmer, especially since there were a total of 3 on our king sized bed. We were lacking a "do not disturb" sign for our door but luckily we told the housekeeping staff to come back later. The staff was friendly upon check-in. Overall, this hotel was fine for a night but they could improve upon some things to make it a better experience for a longer stay.

For the price it worked really well for us. The staff was so kind and helpful. We needed a downstairs room and they easily accommodate us. My family and I plan to stay there again next we are in town.

This hotel is like a little hidden gem near Montgomery Village. It's adjacent to an IHOP a Safeway the CVS and the 12. It's very quiet though. I liked it so much, inquired about a week long stay. I received a phone call the next afternoon right around checkout time after I've already checked into the second night. I was told to bring my credit card and we'll discuss the rates. OK I guess you need a credit card to get into this party. I'll bite. I won't tell you exactly what I've been into because I don't know but it cost me another hundred dollars. Even though my first night deposit was released I still haven't seen that but no worries. However her discussion of a great rate for us started with her moving us to a much bigger room with two walk-in closets for 750 for five days and it ended ended when I went online 10 minutes later and saw the exact same prices without the taxes and fees. I asked her for 15 minutes to discuss it with my fiancé 14 minutes later she left for the day. Interesting.

Excellent little,quiet,nice place. Great guy at front desk. Only positive things to say.

Close to out daughter's house. Older, but well run and a good value. Excellent restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch

Stay here a few times a year when visiting family. During 3 day visit no room service and coffee packets supplied…

Overall very good and clean. Shower temp could be a little warmer and unit was missing a fridge but will use again in the future.

The owners have done an amazing job renovating this property. It has those “mid 60’s” vibes but with all the modern amenities. The rooms have all been recently updated. Amazingly to me, even though it’s right off Hwy 12, I have not heard any traffic noise (and I’ve stayed in 4 different rooms now). I’ve selected rooms with the “mini kitchen” - which is great to have a small refrigerator and microwave. It would be helpful if they stocked the rooms with a few paper plates and utensils. These rooms also have an induction cooktop - so, adding a couple induction-compatible pots/pans would sure help!
