It's a very old hotel. The lobby feels great, but the decoration in the room is old and the smell is very obvious. The air conditioner is too strong and the sound is loud. The chairs in the room are dark and a bit dirty. The only advantage is that the bath water pressure is very high and comfortable. The food in the Kyoto restaurant on the first floor tastes good and is close to the taste of Asian cuisine. There are almost no people dining in the restaurant. Our stay did not start well since we arrived around 1:30 p.m. and the manager wanted us to wait until 3:00 p.m. before accessing the room. Then, when we went up at 3 p.m., there was a foul smell in the room and we had to contact reception to send staff to clean it. Looks like someone had just left the room. He should normally leave the room empty for 24 hours between guests for hygienic reasons. Bad surprise with a fridge full of alcoholic drinks to potentially tempt customers to spend tens of dollars. The internet was constantly failing and the toilet flushing became faulty. The positive points: they offer everything at breakfast and the swimming pool is great.

Following a mistake made at reception, I received an upgrade, which allowed me to discover the premium floors of the hotel. The rooms do not stand out much from those on other floors. But the roof top service is much more personalized, the view is superb. I really liked the experience.

The hotel had a power outage from noon to the evening. At the beginning, the check-out fee was charged. In the middle, it said that half of the room fee should be paid. Our plane was landing at 2:00 am, I called the hotel and confirmed my stay the hotel personnel told me that since the check in does not start the earliest is 10:00 am I would have to pay additional $10 an hour until i could actually check in which I was willing to pay considering we got there early in the morning. However when we arrived to the hotel at 3:00 am the staff told us that there was no rooms available. So we were left stranded in a different country at 3:00 am with no room to check into. We asked again at the front desk if he was sure that there was no rooms available and without even checking the clerk just answered no that there's not and just walked away.

Room was amazing, service at the front desk also amazing. But the service at pool extremely deficient, waiter didn’t knew the menu, time between ordering and receiving the food was like an hour. And all that waiting time to receive not what we order.
