Rubbish , compared to three yrs ago. Uninterested manager , was once lovely poolside now dead plants and generally in dissaray. Basement rear facing rooms no better than a two star at most. Drab , but some may like the quieter location as ten minutes from the start of the beach

Firstly: we had a great time in Santorini. Just a few honest things to point out about the Areti Hotel.... It should be called Areti Apartments as it doesn't resemble a hotel in any way. Here's why: Terrible beds....see picture. Our slats were to short for base and kept falling through to floor Reception closed all pm so any help is not available including Jet2 info locked in Reception so can't be used or read No information in rooms or telephone so in an emergency you'd have a problem. Same breakfast every day Got told off by resident bar man for drinking water not purchased at hotel A great deal of noise from overhead aircraft Just not a holiday pleasing "hotel" really.. overvto you though.....you might have different views.... Good luck!

From moment we arrived till we left we had a fantastic stay. The Management Staff and Team could not do enough .We had a pool view and the room was spotless ,the beds were great ,with towels changed every day as well as the room cleaned .As far as the Breakfast goes it is Greek/Mediterranean and was perfect for us .Sean at the bar is a font of Knowledge and a sound ,friendly Guy. Every day the hotel was cleaned from top to bottom including the pool area and pool itself .To all the staff from Nicollta to the cleaners and Sean, thankyou all.

Do you change your towels on a daily basis? Do you change your bed sheets three times a week? Do you have a house without any odd jobs that need doing? If the answer is NO, then this is the place for you ! But seriously, we were worried about the negative reviews on here and even considered moving to a different hotel but we didn’t. On the second day we realised that there was nothing to be concerned about and the hotel was a great 3 star, clean hotel! It really is a lovely hotel and we had no complaints. On arrival which was 3.30pm we arrived to find the bar open and about 4 people around the pool sunbathing with loads of sunbeds available. Nicole, the manageress, was friendly and welcoming and showed us to our quadruple room ( No 17). We quickly changed and went out to grab a drink from the bar and catch the last few hours of the sunshine. Shaun the barman was informative about the best places to watch the sunset and how to get to the beach and bus station etc… The hotel is located on a main road but by no means suffers from much noise. As Kamari is only 10-15mins from the airport, it’s hard to visualise but this hotel is NOT directly on the flight path (unlike some restaurants on the beach front at that end of the *****). You’d see the planes but hardly hear anything -We’ve had more noise from people at other hotels and I would say that this is quite a relaxing and quiet hotel. It never appeared full except sometimes at breakfast but that’s to be expected as it was fully booked in August. The rooms were very, very clean and ours was very large with a comfy double and two single beds, a standard size fridge with freezer compartment, a small wardrobe, bedside tables, a dining table and four chairs and an outside patio with table and chairs. The bathroom is typically Greek and has a drain in the middle of the floor but we did have a small 70cm square shower tray and curtain and we still managed to get water on the bathroom floor- not a problem for us. It dries up very quickly! Shower gel, soap and body lotion were provided. I believe the quad rooms are all located on the ground floor but they are below the level of the pool , bar and entrance by a couple of steps. Ours was in a great location for us, facing the pool area. The ladies who cleaned, in particular Joanna, were so friendly and as we are not ones for requesting clean towels every day, I simply requested them when we wanted them and refused them on other days. She swept the floor, made beds, emptied bins and sprayed the surfaces nearly every day and certainly worked hard especially after staring at 6am, tidying up the pool area and then serving breakfast (between 8-10am). We were only there a week and the towels /sheets were changed twice (more than enough for us). I did request a couple of extra pillows and were given them immediately. If you treat people nicely and with respect then it is reciprocated. There is a safe inside the wardrobe which is free. Ours was locked on arrival

Lovely little hotel. Quiet and rural but a short walk away from the buzz of the seafront. Nicole, the manager was friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 24, overlooking pool, clean, working safe and fridge but hairdryer merely glowed red, which may be a bit of a fire hazard. Breakfast basic and repetitive but adequate, the only cooked food was boiled egg and tiny frankfurter type sausages. No problem getting sunbed by the pool. The sea was quite choppy when we visited and entry into the sea difficult due to slippery firm mud mounds under the water. Good holiday- would recommend 😄

I was super nervous about this holiday after reading some recent negative reviews. Don’t be put off by these. The hotel is fantastic and we have had the best stay. We had room no 19, a quadruple room at the front on the ground floor. It was next to the pool bar which was perfect for us. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were made daily along with the bins being emptied and towels were changed on request. The pool is just the right temperature. Plenty of sun beds at all times of the day. No sunbed wars or people leaving towels on them to reserve them which was amazing! Good mixture of sun and shade around the pool area. We saw no bugs. All the staff are really friendly. They work every day, long hours and are still always happy to chat. We arrived at midnight and the manager was outside to greet us. She told my teenagers the free wi-if code straight away which they were grateful for. Complementary water in the room fridge waiting for us. She told us we could check in the next day as it was so late. Throughout our stay she couldn’t do enough for us. Offering advice on places to visit, making us sunset restaurant reservations and organising taxis / private transfers for us. The safe in our room was locked on arrival but the maintenance guy unlocked it the following day upon request which was free to use. Pool bar is open 10am - 5pm. Good selection of drinks. We ate lunch from here on a couple of days and it was delicious. Cleaning lady works so hard. Always saw her around the hotel sweeping up, keeping the hotel clean and tidy. Aircon in room was a bit noisy but it was free and did the job nicely. Continental breakfast was the same each day. Melon, cereal, yogurt, bread, cheese & salami, mini sausages, hard boiled eggs and cake. Nescafé coffee sachets. Lovely and quiet location. 5-10 min walk to the supermarket and beach. You don’t pay for sunbeds on the beach, just order a drink/food and can use for the day. Take beach shoes for getting in & out the sea. Yes the room and bathroom was basic but it is a 3 star hotel and was far better than we expected. We had everything we needed and it was the perfect base for us to explore the beautiful island.

Arrived at this hotel around 12 at night, no one was to be seen to check us in (what we thought). The reception was unlocked but empty. After doing our own digging, we found out that we have been relocated to another hotel. After about an hour and a half of not knowing what to do, one of the staff came up and booked us a taxi to the new hotel (bare minimum). We were told that it was plumbing issues and that she’d be able to get us back to this hotel. Obviously wasn’t the case. Seemingly it had just been overbooked lol. If we had at least some notice before hand I would leave a better review yet it ruined the start of our first holiday away together. However Artemis Hotel was lovely once we’d settled in😉

Very poor hotel not sure how it has got 3 stars. The back of the hotel as rooms which back onto a veg patch which is actually hove the level of the room so the room is below that ground level leading to an influx of insects. Tried to move rooms but management did nothing even through we were there for two weeks and had two rooms. The rooms were very basic and the beds of very poor quality which means poor sleeping. The breakfast was basic and never changed so half the time we went out for breakfast. The hotel is run down and requires updating but as said if your in room at the back on the lower level then just be warned
