Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas & Resort Reviews

We stayed in 4 different hotels during this vacation and Pullman Yalong was by far the most disappointing one, although to be honest part of it comes from expectations. Pullman Yalong is a decent 3-4 star hotel, whose main problem is that expectations associated with the brand make it seem to be something it is not. Chinese breakfast is actually quite decent and has a wide range including MaLaTang, if you are craving Western food though it probably isn't worth the price. They have a big sign near the lobby recommending that you should not bring delivery food to your room, due to health and safety reasons, but feel free to ignore that. We ordered both room service and outside delivery on several occasions and deliveries were definitely a better option. Plus there is a food court and a supermarket not far from the hotel. The pool is quite big and its lower section is well shaded as well which a plus. However it was a major disappointment that the slide was closed(long term) as well as the cool cave you might see on the hotel's photos. On top of that there are some downright ridiculous designs ideas including a horrible pool access and sharp edge stairs inside the pool. The beach in Yalong is all public, but the access to it is limited by occasional path between some of the front row resorts. What this means in practice is that you will have a bit of a walk having to go around Marriot in Pullman's case. The room was OK, even had a bath and a walk-in wardrobe. The high point was the balcony above the pool. Signs of disrepair are visible around the hotel, but to be honest this seems to be the Yalong/Sanya standard at least for the 4 star hotels we stayed in. Jacky, I hope I got the name right, who worked in the lobby/shuttle car was great though. Not because he spoke good English(which he did), but because he had a problem solving attitude and wasn't afraid to approach guests to offer help.

Best option to travel with family: that was my second stay here. Location is 5+, food and accomodation 5+. Stuff is always nice and ready to help. Thank you, Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay team!

Nice old hotel, breakfast is Chinese, staff is friendly and helpful. Location is not very convenient: you need to walk through out other hotels, no private beach. But the hotel is clean, the pool is long and not busy. If you’d like the complete social detox - it’s your hotel

Maintenance and cleanliness was really shoddy, service was pretty disinterested and location was pretty bad compared to most hotels in Yalong bay. Kinda surprised that Pullman allows the hotel to remain under its brand. I would suggest booking a hotel along the beachfront instead.

Second time here and I loved it. A bug flew into our room because we left the doors open at night and one of the workers was sent by the receptionist to 'take care of it' for us ASAP🤭. Great for family stay.

I would like to thank the hotel for great room service, especially I would like to thank Li Yang and Hai Yan as they made their job in the perfect way! Everything is perfect- the food the restaurant the location and price/quality ratio.

I loved my stay here. 2nd time to stay. It was very peaceful. I was so relaxed I ordered room service not something I usually do. Spaghetti bolognese could use some improvement. 😊 filter coffee in the morning could also be a helpful addition at breakfast. Coffee machines a little slow for lots of people. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Friendly service, nice bedroom and pretty close to the beach. Only one swimming pool was open though…

Overall, the hotel is charming, and has a very good point in it's food and beverage service, breakfast is great, and Dinner options too. The location is great, close to the beach and to the forest Park. Sadly the only weakness is the Staff, mostly not english speaking, and sometimes not very reactive on problem solving. As many Say, the interior is a bit old, but clean, comfy, and very well designed. We have been upgrade for the last night to the Villa, which is really the true gem of the hotel.

Stayed in a villa with its own pool, so relaxing and comfortable. The hotel was pretty clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of western food, they had nice variety of breads, croissants, cheese, salami, eggs, etc.. and had a nice coffee machine to make lattes and expresso. The beach is just across the street and only takes a few minutes to walk over. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Всём здравствуйте! Долго выбирали пляж и отель, остановили свой выбор на Pullman. Сам отель имеет большенство вилл, расположенных на довольно большой территории. Номера всего в двух корпусах. Людей много, но тихо и спокойно. Наш номер был на первом этаже с выходом в бассейн, что очень удобно и рано утром и вечером. Номер большой, терраса, лежачем, пара ступенек и бассейн. Бассейн достаточно большой, плавали на сапе, правда стоя на коленях. Уборка неплохая, горничные чаевые не берут. Завтраки отличные, есть блюда европейской кухни. Отель находится на второй линии, до моря идти минут 15-20. Рядом с отелем есть где покушать, но мы ездили на площадь Ялунбей, там и выбор побогаче, и цены демократичнее. Рекомендую!

This was my 6th summer stay with Yalong Bay Pullman. The quiet sunny days in the Villa Pool keep bringing me back. This year similar to all the others. Easy check in. Room was comfy and clean as expected. Morning cleaning time came a little early and because I was very jet lagged from a previous trip to London I slept through all the cleaning times. 2 problems to mention this year first would be the mini fridge. … it was warm. Nothing stayed cool in there. And there’s no having a hot drink by the pool. Or after swimming. Getting ice… an hour long wait. And two … I ordered room service my first night because I arrived late and … was served a warm soda … what do you do with a warm soda?! Ice ice ice. Cold drinks!!!

We had a fantastic stay! The villa was perfect for our family with wonderful other amenities. The rooms are luxurious and very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and made us foreigners feel very welcome. We made use of the buffet and loved the variety of dishes on offer. Chef Logan was fantastic!! Our house keeping ladies were the best we have ever had. Special thanks to the cleaning staff Guiyun and Shengyan and Helena who are always helpful to us.

Very nice area, quick to get to the beach. But a bit noisy from the road
