InterContinental Hotels SANYA HAITANG BAY RESORT by IHG

Having experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍 On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍 The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍 Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, "Look, fish 2.0!" I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like "oil tanker 2.0," with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍 The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍 The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗 The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee. The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍 Big kudos again to Kaylee from guest relations! 👍 And kudos to the hotel for its excellent service! 👍

Big thanks to Lucas, our butler! Everything was perfectly arranged and just wonderful. I spent a long time picking a hotel, and this one is super close to the duty-free shop, which was perfect for my shopping sprees, haha. I go there often. The rooms are large and spacious. Sitting on the balcony, gazing at the sea, and just zoning out was such a treat. The beach is nice, but it's a shame you can't go swimming in the ocean. Still, lounging on the beach, watching the sea, and feeling the breeze was so relaxing.

InterContinental Haitang Bay is in a fantastic location, right next to the duty-free shop. The rooms are spacious, and the balcony bathtub offers a lovely sea view. The service is warm, and the breakfast is plentiful. The pool and family-friendly facilities are excellent. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I'll definitely be back!

An old-school five-star hotel with a grand feel. The room design is functional, and while the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. The butler service was also very prompt. Dinner at the underwater restaurant was a bit disappointing; the breakfast was much better. It's close to the duty-free shop, with a side entrance that leads there directly, though it's not a covered walkway so you'll be exposed to the sun. Most activities are geared towards children, with not much for adults.

I've stayed at Intercontinental many times, and this time I came to Sanya. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the room facilities are very well-maintained. The hotel is very close to the beach 🏖️, and the food options are convenient and authentic. I particularly want to highlight the service from our butler, Kaylee. Whenever we had an issue, she resolved it immediately. I hope Kaylee can be our butler again on my next visit!

Whenever I visit, I always choose InterContinental. The location is superb, and this year a new road opened, making it a two-minute walk from the pool to the duty-free shop – just cross the street! That really gets full marks from me. The hotel's service is consistently excellent as always; the staff are thoughtful and attentive. It's also incredibly convenient to communicate with our butler, Kaylee, via WeChat. Full marks for the hotel's service! Haitang Bay is much cooler than Yalong Bay; you can feel the sea breeze everywhere in the hotel, from the lobby to the room balcony. When I was in Yalong Bay, all I wanted to do was quickly get back into my room. This year, they've added family rooms, with a super king-size bed and a smaller bed, perfect for a family of three. The hotel's Chinese restaurant is also a highlight; every dish was flawless, and it's not easy to find food that satisfies both the elderly and children. I feel this is a very practical review, not just a task, and I hope it helps everyone!

Extremely satisfied with my trip! The service was excellent; our butler, Bobby, was always available and incredibly responsive. We truly felt at home. The location is also fantastic, very close to the duty-free shop. Breakfast was abundant, and it would be even better with coconut milk! We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Haitang Bay.

We stayed from June 6th to 8th. Despite a couple of minor mishaps where my child fell twice, the butler and the two managers on duty were incredibly responsive and helpful. I give the service a five-star rating; it was truly excellent. The breakfast was also superb, consistently meeting InterContinental's high standards. However, some of the hotel's facilities, likely due to its seaside location, seem prone to mold and dampness and could use some maintenance and repair. Additionally, the area right outside the breakfast restaurant was really slippery. I hope they can use a blower or put up a 'Caution: Wet Floor' sign there. Overall, I wish InterContinental continued success and hope to see some improvements in the facilities on our next visit.

Second time here! The room was big and clean, and they provided so many bottled waters. Bobby was super responsive and patient with everything. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back. We tried all three restaurants and the food was delicious at each. The hotel itself is stunning, and the popsicles in the lobby are really good!
