Best Hotels near JD Sports, Sao Pedro Da Afurada

I would like to make a comment on the Novotel because I was really surprised by the positive, I was going without great expectations, I saw some comments that mentioned the old and lack of modernity, and that is not the reality. The hotel is wonderful. The entrance is huge, staff are super friendly and make it easy to stay. We stay in a room with sea view. With a good bathroom, with a large bathroom. The room's closet is huge! The room was very nice, with a decoration, and cozy. The room was air conditioned and a mini bar included in the price of all the drinks of the room. The restaurant was very beautiful. The pool was very good. The water was always brown. I assessed the Novotel with a 9 and I don't give a 10 for the size of the pool. It is a very good hotel and looked for families with children, which makes the pool always full. As for breakfast, I also want to give a praise, because it is quite varied and they never let things end. I liked it very much

Room was very clean but very small

This hotel arrived late, and it took a relatively early walk. I didn’t take a closer look. First of all, it’s a little difficult to drive alone. The roads in many cities in Portugal mean a little bit of Chongqing. I missed a crossing and got a big circle. Second, the same name. The hotel in the same location has red and green, can't make a mistake in which one is booked, and does not accept each other; third, the room type is small, family travel is not recommended; fourth, the price is slightly more expensive; its five, twenty-four hours There is a meal, it tastes good; six, there is free parking. Because it is too late to take pictures, hygiene is good, if not very concerned about the price can be considered.

Location is what I need away from the hotel in a busy city center. Room modern and confort. Staff helpful. Love the sauna and hamam. Breakfast many variety for bread and sweet pastry (I like to have boile egg in breakfast sometimes). I use Uber 6euros to city center. I do use my car to visit the seaside Afurada ,the Wine Valley Dauro etc. I wanted to highlight hotel should provide free bottle of water in the room upon arrival (is very common that traveler does not drink enough during moving). Stayed here for 7 nights and was in 3 different rooms. Good News: Staff is great, especially Joanna and Marina (?) at front desk, and Paulo (?) and other bellman Overall decor is dated and needs refurbishing. Comments re: rooms… Room 234: Larger and very quiet with robe/slippers. Headboard is torn. Bathroom door in the way of toilet & bidet; need to close door to access. … Rm 232: Corner Suite. Beautiful but TOO NOISY. Despite wearing earplugs, closing double-paned windows + lowering electronic blackout shades outside bedroom window, still had trouble sleeping due to street noise (trucks, motorcycles, etc). Noise through evening and early morning hours when bins picked up. Windows need another layer to soundproof… Room 411: New side of hotel, VERY small room; no slippers/robe offered, better layout of bathroom. No view but very quiet. Bad news: For the amount charged per room (almost €200/night or more) + standard hotel tries to maintain, complimentary coffee and water should be available every day of stay, not just day #1. Beautiful view and good food from rooftop bar but VERY SLOW service. Tips: Location is by river so about 1-2 miles from city center which is uphill from hotel. Other option is to use Uber. Tram stop and supermarket conveniently located within 1-2 blocks of hotel. Can take tram toward Dom Luis Bridge to check out restaurants with great river views: Bacalhau (very small and don’t take reservations) or Vinhas d’Alho restaurant next door, takes reservations and has more outdoor seats. Overall: Wonderful, helpful and accommodating staff in lovely location but you could find better value other places, like the many ”AL” accommodations (private apartments similar to Airbnb).

I am very pleased with my stay, I was the responsible of a group of teenagers and we are very grateful for the attention, for hospitality. Sympathetic officials, I will highlight the name of Miss Soraia and Raquel who were present at the breakfast at which I had the opportunity to speak to them and I praised the service they both provided, I am sure that they were very careful, with regard to the rest of the team, I was very pleased and my group was also. The hotel was very careful in the rooms and bathrooms, living room and common rooms.

The facilities are great and very modern. The breakfast was amazing and had, in fact, a big variety of choices.
