Penha Longa Resort

The compound looks good at entrance, but at check-in it was horrifying. We are family got split across 3 floors and worse is we surrounded by a noisy group. When we asked reception why did they split us up, they say there nothing they could do about it, this is really a 3 star hotel service, not ritz Carlton We talked to the manager and he don’t understand why noise will affect our sleep! I am speechless, golf course wasn’t well maintained either. It’s a waste of the ritz Carlton brand and unless you plan to be drunk every day, I doubt you can relax.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was beautifully maintained, and the staff truly went above and beyond. We were in town for a work conference, so most of our time was spent within the hotel, but it was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making our stay even better. A special shoutout to Sandip, who brought us room service several times – his warm and friendly attitude made each interaction a delight!

Best food in quite a while served by Nuria who was exceptional! Enjoyed the ravioli with shrimp that included the best sauce in this world made by their Brazillian chef. The foccacia bread was other worldly! With tossed green salad to start this wonderful experience ended with what else?.....an affogato of course! Could not have been better!

Stunning resort and the customer service was top notch. The views were incredible from our executive corner suite. Penha Longa Resort was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Thank you for the welcome gift prepared for our stay. It is a perfect location to explore Sintra and Cascais area. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Lisbon area.

I chose this hotel because I am Marriott loyalist. It was also perfectly situated for my visit to Sintra. The grounds are gorgeous, especially the outdoor swimming pool. And the staff is excellent; the man who checked me in remembered my name through my whole stay. My room was spacious, so well appointed, and large--with a very pretty view of the grounds. The breakfast spread is absolutely enormous with so many choices (and is included with the rate). One note--which is no knock against the hotel, just noting for future travelers--is that there were a lot of kids and families there in late August, especially using both the indoor and outdoor pools, so it seems like a hotel that has a lot to offer for a family trip ... and that could also be an aspect that is less appealing to solo travelers. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! It was an absolutely delightful spot.

What a beautiful resort, with amazing views from our room of the green hills and golf course. From our arrival the staff were so friendly and attentive. The facilities were great with lots to do for children and also areas for just adults. The breakfast was faultless, with options for all tastes. We ate at the hotel bar area and for lunch at Aqua, but also got Ubers very easily into Sintra and the local seaside town where there were lots of restaurant options. My daughter loved the pools and the playground with its mini golf course and by the pool, the soft play area. If you wish to use the kids club, there were lots of activities to keep them busy too. Special mention to Pankaj, who was very kind and a great asset to the team. He was brilliant at his job and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff, especially around the pool area, were fantastic. We had a great holiday and would recommend to others.
