Hotel to avoid, the boss never wanted to give the price of the apartment at the price displayed and reserved on Booking. Expensive apartment hotel and a broken light bulb, not clean at all, no towels in some rooms. Coffee machine not usable. Staff not speaking a word of English and the worst is that the next day we were accused of having stolen towels (which was false). Despite our explanations to justify that there were not all the towels from the start they came to the airport to check our suitcases.

My wife and me had a great time in Hotel Kenito. The hotel is in the city, but you can reach the most beautiful beaches in 20-30 minutes by car, which you need to rent anyway to get around in Sao Tome. The hotel is very nice, clean and cozy. The rooms are well equiped with a fridge and AC. The breakfast is very delicious. All this for a relatively cheap price, for sure the best price to value. As a European used to European standards this hotel is the ideal choice where to stay in Sao Tome. The best “extra” of the hotel is Kenito himself, who is a very friendly, nice guy, speaking perfect English. He knows Sao Tome very well and gives you very good recommendations what to do, where to go. He knows everyone in Sao Tome! Try this gem of a hotel, not that you will not regret it, you will enjoy your stay very much!
