Na een lange dag reizen kwamen wij aan in dit ‘ Hotel’. De laatste anderhalve kilometer is een ongeasfalteerde weg. Dat was nergens aangegeven. Gezien de hoge waardering verwachtten wij een comfortabele kamer en een goed diner. Helaas was het restaurant gesloten ( “ de kok heeft ook recht op een vrije dag…”) en geen mogelijkheid voor een snack. De kamer was koud (15 gr); verwarming defect; na aandringen bracht men een klein electrisch kacheltje dat na uren de temperaruur op 19 gr bracht. Moesten in donker over de bemodderde weg op zoek naar een restaurant. De eigenares was niet erg vriendelijk; moesten bij het ontbijt om koffie bedelen. Karig ontbijt. Er liepen ook twee vervaarlijke honden van de eigenaar los rond. Is een charmante locatie maar zeker geen ‘ hotel. Eerder een slecht geleide Bed&Breakfast. Vooral met zichzelf bezig….

Propriedade excepcional para quem procura desfrutar do campo em pleno Alentejo. O quarto era muito espaçoso e bastante confortável. A piscina é incrível! O pequeno almoço não tem muita variedade mas tem muita qualidade. Ficamos apenas uma noite, contudo, contamos voltar.

Such a charming location. Unfortunately we were only there only one night and it rained so we could not explore the grounds like we would have liked to. We had a delicious dinner (pre-order to give the chef time to plan/prepare). We moved into the living room for post dinner wine by the fire place and had wonderful conversation with another guest. Our suite was wonderful and had everything we needed, we only wish we had stayed longer. Breakfast was breads, fruit, meat and cheeses on a buffet, but also hot options (eggs, bacon) A lovely retreat. We will return to enjoy more time.

Cama avariada e sem serviço de manutenção Na noite de 30 Set 2023, pelas 23:00, enquanto deitada a descansar os pés da cama (na cabeceira) cederam/partiram. A cama descaiu toda, ficando inclinada e instável ( pés para cima e cabeçeira para baixo), sem condições para ser utilizada! Ligamos para chamar assistência e a proprietária do Hotel disse-nos que não havia ninguém para resolver o assunto! A sugestão da proprietária foi simplesmente que, tentássemos nós arranjar a cama! Não havia nada que pudesse fazer; nem sequer ofereceu a sua ajuda deixando-nos sozinhos e sem opções! Simplesmente lamentável e inaceitável este serviço, especialmente sendo ela, a responsável pelo estabelecimento hoteleiro.

This is a boutique hotel in every sense of the word.There are only ten rental rooms and they are uniquely different.The grounds are lovely and very walkable.

Muito boa experiência no Alentejo. Bom serviço, instalações excelentes. Local aprazível! Dono simpáticos! a melhorar a oferta do pequeno almoço mas nível bom, não é tema... Vista de pequena almoço para mais tarde recordar. Piscina e espaços exteriores do melhor!

We spent a few pleasant days in this hotel last year, even though we left the pool with annoyance about too much noise. This year we spent 6 days in this hotel but suddenly also the last time. This so-called 4 star hotel is more like a kind of B&B where you are constantly under the watchful eye of the owners. Cash register is the motive of these people instead of service orientation and cordiality. The main annoyances: - Despite reporting a few times there is no hot water in this hotel. The owners pretend you don't know how to operate a crane. The water is a bit lukewarm. Despite comments, the water remains cold throughout the week! Very embarrassing! - There are many rules at the pool, but respecting peace is not one of them. Either there is a bachelorette party or children are screaming all over the place. The owners look at it and do nothing. - the breakfast is meager: diluted fruit juice and yogurt from Aldi. 4 stars? - Bed linen is not changed for one week. - an inedible steak…. As the owner you don't say anything about that and you just charge. The owner is otherwise at your table for the least, hoping for more turnover. In short… we paid 150/night. How do you expect a different standard for.

The property is beautiful in a lovely quiet setting. Great gardens around the pool, and nice outdoor eating areas with views. The pool was large, well kept and benefitted from several covered relaxing areas nearby. The hosts were friendly, caring and low key, it has a great balance of informality but with high standards. Fabulous food, for breakfast lunch or dinner if you wanted it. Elvas is only ten minutes away with a variety of places to eat if you can pull yourself away from Bia’s cooking! A daily special for dinner adds another layer to what is a nice menu anyway we had the duck breast with a orange and honey sauce…..delicious. Our room was large, well equipped, and a very spacious bathroom. The indoor lounge and dining room were delightful too. We will be back.
