Vessel Inn Sapporo Nakajimakoen

The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station, though there aren't many dining options nearby. The room was small, but perfectly fine for one person. The cleanliness was good, and breakfast was delicious. My only slight disappointment was that I thought there would be an airport shuttle right outside the hotel, but after checking in, I found out there were only two morning buses, which wasn't suitable for my afternoon flight. Luckily, taking the subway and then transferring to the JR line was also easy.

The hotel facilities are complete, and both the room and public areas are clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and explain things clearly and understandably. The lobby offers 24-hour self-service drinks, with beverages, coffee, and ice cream available during specific hours. The breakfast spread is rich and definitely worth trying.

March 19, 2026 After checking out from another hotel at 10 AM, I headed straight here with my luggage. The front desk lady was very kind and helped me tag my bags, then stored them for free in the luggage room. Afterward, I walked to Suwa Shrine to take some photos. I returned around 2:30 PM. While waiting for my room to be cleaned, I picked up some free disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial cleanser, lotion, and hair ties from the self-service corner next to the front desk. The free self-service corner had so many options! There was also a free drink machine for coffee and a free ice cream freezer. Finally, I was able to check in 15 minutes early, free of charge. The room was very clean and tidy. Across from the window was a tall building. Also, by registering as a hotel member via email, you can receive a small gift worth up to 1000 yen, such as a free one-hour late checkout or some complimentary drinks. I ended up choosing a free local-flavored orange juice. The main reason I chose this hotel was actually for its supposedly best breakfast in Sapporo. The restaurant is quite large, and in the morning, they offer salmon, tuna, squid, and crab sashimi – all very fresh. They even had four types of milk, all very fragrant and rich. Unfortunately, I had overeaten at an all-you-can-eat sukiyaki the night before, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. I'll definitely book this hotel again if I have the chance!

I think this is a very well-thought-out business hotel chain. It has all the facilities you could need, and you can pick up toothbrushes and other toiletries on the first floor. If you need anything else, you can borrow it from the hotel. They also have a free drink area and offer daily paid parking. I often choose this brand when I travel to Japan.

The location is excellent, right outside Nakajima Koen subway station. You can take the elevator directly from Exit 2 and cross the street to reach the hotel, even with luggage. It's super convenient, especially since you don't have to walk far even in heavy snow. The hotel facilities are comprehensive. They boast that their breakfast is the fourth best in Japan, which is worth trying, but having it every day might be overkill. It's essentially a very good value seafood rice bowl breakfast. If you book in advance, you can get a really great price. Overall, highly recommended.
