Pugdundee Safari- Denwa Backwater Escape

We, three friends, sought an escape from city chaos and discovered a hidden gem amidst the lush Satpura jungle in Madhya Pradesh. Our forest stay was an enchanting blend of rustic charm and luxury, surpassing our expectations. As we entered the resort, we received a warm welcome ***** with a refreshing drink and the soft chirping of birds enveloped us. The rustic, earthy tones of the cottages seamlessly blended into the surrounding foliage, creating an immersive jungle experience. Our cottage, crafted from natural materials, offered stunning views of the forest and denva backwaters. Spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with modern amenities, it was the perfect retreat. Savoring local flavors, we indulged in delicious, farm-to-table cuisine, expertly prepared by the in-house chef. From traditional local dishes to international fare, every meal was a delight. 1. Guided jungle treks: Expert naturalists led us through the dense forest, revealing hidden waterfalls and exotic wildlife. 2. Birdwatching boat safari: We spotted rare species of birds, crocodiles and sambar deer .And the resort's birding guide enhanced our experience. 3. Candle light dinner- on the occasion of my birthday the staff surprised us with a candle light dinner setup and truly amazing in house baked cake. Our Denva backwater escape forest stay was a symphony of nature, luxury, and friendship. Our group of 17 loved our stay. every aspect of accommodation was well catered for. Our safety was an important consideration. A guide with a torch was always available to make sure that we were safe, we did not even have to ask for this service! The catering staff provided a range of new food experiences with a daily menu on display. The garden was beautiful, and it was pleasing to see an extensive vegetable garden that produced food for the restaurant. We will forever remember our very special experience, made all the more special with such an attentive and pleasant staff.

An amazing place to stay; we stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. The sit-out area and the views are simply amazing. The view from the library and restaurant was also great. Enjoyed the boat safari and the jeep safari arranged by Pugdundee. Many thanks to Mr. Kshitij for helping my 11-year-old son in understanding insects better. It was a great experience and hope to leverage YNAT someday soon. One thing that could be better is the lighting in the library, which I found to be low. All areas were reasonably well lit in the evenings, except the library :). If the management could fix that issue, it would be great for the guests to sit there longer and read books and/or play other board games. There were bicycles available to explore the countryside too, but we did not get time for that. Highly recommended place.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway with family at Denwa Backwater Escape. The stay was great—clean, aesthetically pleasing rooms with scenic views and excellent hospitality. The jungle safari was a highlight; we spotted wild animals, including a tiger! The friendly staff made our experience even better. We'd love to visit again! Highly recommended.

We visited Denwa Backwater Escape in Madhai In June 2024 and must say that the experience was one of its kind. Everything about the stay from accomodation to food to staff to amenities was on point. The staff was extremely courteous and accomodative to our requirements. The property is super amazing with beautiful views. It is a single use plastic-free resort. This initiative of theirs to make their property plastic-free is applaud worthy. They want to make their guests feel valued and have the most wonderful time during stay which makes the stay at this property unique and memorable. Will definitely plan to visit this property again during winters !!

We had a wonderful experience at Denwa Backwater Escape. It was a breath taking experience for us. The property was very peaceful and attractive. The staffs were very polite and respectful. We stayed in a treehouse which was well appointed and maintained. The food was very delicious it seemed like we were getting food like home. I was particularly impressed by the beauty of the nature. I would like to thank Prashant for making my stay a memorable one.
