Worst Taj safari hotel we have ever stayed and the food quality was poor with no Taste or character in food at all. Not only quality of food was lacking and even the selections of food at breakfast or dinner was very poor and very few options were available. We have had better experience at Taj Jungle safaris where there are less amenities have felt better. The service standards were also poor

Gir Sarai is situated very close to Sinh Sadan, excellent serene location, great views. It is an old property but very well maintained and managed. The restaurant servers excellent nice and tasty food. The entire staff is very nice and helpful. Very good place to relax after jungle safaris. we enjoyed our stay.

The location of this Property is fabulous and unmatched. But being a subsidy of Taj.. There are certain standards expected. The maintenance of the property was below par. The spa is literally one room. The games room does not exist and the gym is horrible. The worst of all was the food. Be it breakfast buffer or dinner that we ate.. The food was mostly with almost no salt.. Tasteless and the worst ive had. Even a simple dish like pakodas was messed up and it could not get worst. For the amount that they charge.. Definitely not worthy over all.

This is one of the most overrated hotel. Property is very old, in a rundown state, requires complete renovation. Basic facilities like temperature control in the room doesn’t work. Staff is good and is trying to meet customer expectations as much as possible even in the poor state of the property. Don’t be fooled by the images shown, hotel is nowhere close to it.

I would definitely visit again Gir Serai only because of the awesome staff and their hospitality. From check-in to check-out, it was wonderful experience, mainly because of the staff who treated me like daamaad. No fakeness in their attitude, pure authenticity. Taj Hotel and other major Taj Lands end like properties' staff should learn from Gir Serai's staff what hospitality actually is.

Though the property is. a bit old and not your typical Taj resort but it’s very comfortable and the service and staff are par excellence. The service and warmth is totally Taj. Jahid , Milan , Apu to name a few of their staff who made our stay most memorable . If we were not in the mood for anything on the menu , the chef made us food to order. We asked for Tonic water, which is hard to find in Gir / Junagadh but we told Jahid and it was organized the next day . We never got a no for an answer for anything that we ever needed. They even have a liquor shop on site and once you get the liquor license , you can drink in your rooms. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Gir . We stayed for a week with parents and had a fab time .

We stayed at Gir Serai for a holiday in the month of Dec 24. The place is really nice. The quietness of the place nestled in the lap of nature amongst the forest makes it ideal for a quiet holiday. The staff was amazing and really courteous. I would specially like to thank Mr Jahid in this aspect. The food was really good and was very close to home food. I would surely recommend this place for an amazing stay.

A great hotel surrounded by flora and fauna with a jungle like atmosphere. The superior room was very comfortable with excellent amenities. needless to say the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant Gum Tree was very enjoyable. I would like to thank Milan at the reception. Service at the restaurant by Zahid, Aladad was commendable. the room was kept clean at all time and served by Irfan, Kaushik. Lastly I would like to thank Rajeev Chandran for the overall supervision of the hotel and taking care of us during our stay Overall a fabulous stay. Thank you Taj.
