So poorly run. Arrived 4:30 pm on Saturday after long travel day. Told room in process of being cleaned. Had to check back 45 minutes later and told 15 More minutes. Not ready until 5:45 pm. Just ridiculous. No concern. No offer for a different room. Then to add insult to injury. Room was not cleaned or serviced on Sunday. We left hotel around 9:30. Came back around 4:30 and room not cleaned. Notified front desk and since we wanted to rest before dinner they agreed to clean room when we left at 7 for dinner. Writing this as we arrived back at 9:30 and room was not touched. No follow thru. No service. Just stay away from this place. We used the American Express hotel program. Will definitely update Amex to get this place off the list for future members.

This was our first visit to Savannah, Georgia. The city is beautiful and so is Hotel Bardo. The rooms are spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The service in this hotel is top notch, special shoutout to Sabia at the front desk. Sabia always had a smile and would always stop to talk with us. ( She was like family 😆). Service by the pool was great, Ethan was always checking with us to see if we were ok. He was a very hard worker. Do not hesitate to stay here.

I had a family wedding in June in Savannah. When the save the dates went out this lovely hotel was not open. At the time I booked what I thought was a nice hotel, The Perry Lane. However after two nights at The Perry Lane I knew I needed to be somewhere else. Luckily I was able to get one night at The Hotel Bardo and change my very unhappy trip to something memorable. This is truly a unique property set right across from the park that is the heart of Savannah. Elegant modern furnishings mix with Victorian architecture to draw you in. The staff are friendly and professional. The pool is right out of a luxury travel magazine. Room service, pool and St. Bibiana restaurants were all excellent. I will never stay anywhere else in Savannah now that this lovely property has opened.

Hotel is beautiful. The pool area is particularly beautiful. But, no amount of beauty can make up for the worst service in every department of the hotel, from check in, to restaurants, bar, housekeeping, etc. All of the staff acted like it was their first day of work. We picked the hotel because it was listed as a Leading Hotel of the World. We couldn’t have been more disappointed all around and we would have left early if it was possible. Three nights of anything that can go wrong, did.

My wife and I stayed for my birthday. The hotel's location and vibe were excellent, and the staff was friendly. However, I'm giving a 1-star review due to billing issues and miscommunication with the front desk. We will not be returning. Upon check-in, we expressed interest in the cooking class experience. The front desk enthusiastically offered to "fully comp" the experience for my birthday, which influenced our decision to book it. Without this promise, we would have opted for dinner instead. One hour before the class, I checked with the front desk to confirm everything. The staff member who booked us said she couldn't fully comp it but suggested using our Amex $150 experience credit. After consulting with the manager, they assured us it would be possible. We thanked them and enjoyed the class. The next morning, at checkout, I asked a new front desk to confirm the credit application. She confirmed it was all set. Weeks later, I discovered the credit was never applied. I called the front desk, and they promised to get back to me after discussing it with a manager. I never heard back. Another week went by and I disputed $150 of the charge with my credit card company, explaining the situation. We lost the dispute and never heard from the hotel again. While we loved the class, we are very disappointed with how this situation was handled. As newlyweds on a tight budget, we would have opted for dinner had we known the credit wouldn't be applied. This experience has left a bad impression, and we will not be returning.

OMG I don’t know where to start. This was, hands down, one of the best hotel visits I have ever had. The staff is sincerely top notch at every level from the front door to the pool and beyond. We booked thru Fine Hotels and Resorts and were upgraded (thank you Shannon) to a corner king, which was huge, spotless and beautifully decorated. Frette linens? Dyson hairdryer? YES PLEASE. Julia at the front desk answered 1,000 questions with a lovely sense of humor. Rafael, one of the hotel drivers, squired us everywhere. We met Mackenzie at the pool — which is AMAZING— and she cheerfully helped us sort out some things. Fabulous cocktails everywhere. We checked out to stay at another highly rated hotel down the street and were immediately homesick for the Bardo, so much so that we called Amy at the Bardo to tell her again how much we loved our stay. There are absolutely no gaps in the service here. I’ll never stay anywhere else in Savannah. And if I forgot to mention a staff member I am so sorry because you were all flawless AF.

We stayed at Hotel Bardo last week to visit with my in-laws to celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary. Hotel Bardo did not acknowledge the anniversary after being told upon booking and checking in, very disappointing! Hope others have a better experience because the hotel is very nice aesthetically and very modern. The location is great. It is located across from Forsythe Park. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor atrium for morning coffee and pastries. Also the close access to the park is great to have morning walks and grab a specialty coffee at the restaurant. Now the bad (reason for two stars): I booked two junior suites for me and my husband in one suite and my in-laws in the other suite. The rooms are advertised on the booking hotel website as having a balcony or terrace to sit out and enjoy morning coffee with a couch and eat in area. The total for a 4 nigh stay was $2215 each room with a $697 deposit due at booking. Unfortunately, my father-in law fell ill and had to have my nephew drive him from Jackson, MS to Hotel Bardo. I called three days prior to arrival requesting a change in one of the suites to a two bedroom suite. Jeanne was very helpful with making the switch. She was very understanding and professional. I asked her if there was a difference in price and she said "no". We DID NOT request a change to both rooms just one. We arrived on site checked in and given our room keys, again no mention of the anniversary. After a day we noticed we were given the incorrect room for me and my husband and my in-laws were placed in a room with two beds as requested; neither room was a suite that was described on the website and in my confirmation email. The room with two beds was supposed to be a suite according to the front desk hence no price difference. I discussed this discrepancy in the rooms with the front desk manager Matthew T's. He first wanted to give us a suite on our next visited but we opted to be compensated for the difference in the price of the room we booked versus the actual room we stayed in. Matthew requested I send him the confirmation email with the room we booked. He admitted we were not in the room we paid for and promised an adjustment to the price. Well it has been 5 days and my card was charged for the full price of two junior suites with no response to my emails or phone calls. Very unprofessional in my opinion. At least a call or email with an update of the adjustment would be a show of good customer service. Then to add insult to injury there is a scratch on my white truck side mirror that we noticed after leaving Hotel Bardo and stopping for gas on Sunday morning. The only parking from my understanding is valet. The Valets are young adults with great manners and provide great customer service but nobody even mentioned the scratch. We were shocked by the scratch on our truck. At that point I decided not to visit this property again. My husband begged me to stay at another luxury hotel (v

We decided to come to Savannah after extensive research & it had been many years since we had been there. We came to the Hotel Bardo last Thursday through Sunday and I must tell you that our stay was exceptional in so many ways. The hotel is so well done and beautiful in it’s design, the rooms are spacious, well appointed and beautiful, the bars + restaurants and all of the amenities are first class, but I must say what made our stay exceptional was the people that worked for the Hotel Bardo. The house driver Rashaid could not have been more hospitable, he took us multiple places, when we had a medical emergency family emergency , He made sure we were taken to the emergency room, he educated us in all aspects of Savannah while he drove us each day & when I accidentally left something upon leaving in my hotel room, he was instrumental in tracking it down days later. He truly gave us a full Savannah experience. Harrison at Club Bardo was phenomenal as well. We went to Club Bardo every night that we were there. He was equally kind, thoughtful, and everything that you would want as a representative of your hotel to stand for. We look forward to coming back! Hotel Bardo provides a beautiful hotel as well as true Southern hospitality!
