PARKING CAN SOMETIMES BE AN ISSUE, which is endemic in the Scarborough central area.

Value for money hotel good location

The rooms were flavorful, breakfast was quite rich, the location was good 10 points convenient, but there was no parking, it took about 10 minutes to walk to the parking, the birds were noisy.

The room leaked in the middle of the night, and the leak has not stopped for more than an hour. It is unbelievable. If I had another choice at such a price, I would never choose this hotel

First opinion is it's very scruffy and covered in birds mess. Reception bright and cheerful. Then the room ................. very much the worst room I've ever encountered. So tired and worn out. Needs a complete overhaul. The view from the window was obscured by so much birds mess only to see a dump basically. A full skip of rubbish overflowing bins and people from the site next door talking and laughing all night whilst on a fag break. The general feel is that the hotel is being used by the council to accommodate the homeless and immigrants. One small plus is that the bedding was clean and fresh. Breakfast....... Friendly staff and a good selection in a bright and clean dining area. Would I stay again. That's a BIG no.

Feels like a prison cell. Horrible carpets, not clean, pain peeling off the walls, the spring in the mattress digs into your back at night, spider in the bathroom, awful lighting, gritty toilet, minute tv and toilet doesn’t flush properly.

Positives first, it was cheap, the staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was decent value. The room was small (and we were told this was a bigger one so it could accommodate our bikes), the walls had bubbling paint and damp patches. The bathroom window frame was black with mould. The window overlooked a courtyard (fine, someone has to) which was filthy and full of rubbish. I tried to take a picture but the windows were so dirty you couldn't see it! All in all it felt so unpleasant I struggled to sleep. Facilities are also pretty poor; no bathmat provided (with a shower tray with no glass panels, just a curtain) and only plug sockets were over the desk. To top it all off, a whole external windowsill actually fell off the building as we left! I'd like to say it's our own fault for booking cheap but 2 days later we stayed round the corner in the Premier Inn for only a few pounds more and it was worlds apart. I don't expect much from Travelodge but this was poor even by their standards.

Great hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful , rooms are comfy & clean. Breakfast was great and worth the money

Filth, dirty bathroom, dirty cups, dirty spoons, holes in bedding and general lack of interest from the reception staff. No apologies from staff and never spoke to the manager as promised.
