Food and rooms were good - that's probably why there were so many guests. I once heard in passing at the reception: ”Fully booked”. The room furnishings were not entirely satisfactory - especially in the bathroom there is a need for action. The shower cubicle could only be closed with a trick - all the elements pressed against each other so that the driver groove at least snapped in the middle.... The large mirror with the integrated cosmetic mirror has only one flaw: It is mounted too high, so that the ”small ”I couldn't even use it (1.70 m tall). Good idea, not well implemented. Perhaps the manufacturer assumes that the mirrors are placed on the floor???

Unbelievable!! We visited with extended family and this cafe just spoiled the whole black forest experience for us. The cafe staff refused to look at us when spoken to about the black forest cake, (asked 2 ladies) repeatedly didn't attend when we said we wanted black forest. To the point that both ladies were ready to serve many other who kept coming after us and 7 of us standing there waiting. Can't believe even now that at this age some people can be so openly ill mannered. All of us there felt like the woman were being ****** but would still give some benefit of doubt that probably they were having bad day or don't have good manner and our family was in receiving end. Our 5 year old was very disappointed about nobody serving us cake, won't forget the way you treated us. Hope some sense prevails and you treats others well.

The hotel is located on the edge of the village. From the main road you must turn right (or if you come from the village to the left) into a deadly road. Here you can park the car, or if you walk a little further on the left side of a parking lot. You can also park in the parking garage, for a charge. We were welcomed at the reception. Our room (106) was (yet) in the old part. You could reach it both indoor and outdoor. We had a spacious room with a box, desk, seating, double bed including an extra bed, a terrace (with seating) and a spacious bathroom with toilet, shower and washboard. There were also rooms on this side of the hotel with a balcony (with a beautiful view of the Black Forest). When you walked inside to the reception, you came through the indoor bath and sauna area. This all looks clean and careful. The swimming pool has a bedroom and a dressing room for both men and ladies and two showers. The restaurant also looks comfortable (think of Austria, because of the wood). The dinner was also delicious and looked careful. Breakfast consists of a (extended) buffet and is also located in the hotel restaurant. A spacious outdoor terrace is nearby. The staff is very friendly and they all do their best to make the stay as nice as possible. In the surrounding area you can walk well and / or visit one of the villages.

Dear pearlwork, I hope you will read the review here. I find it ok if I pay a lot of money for a really good coffee. But €4.10 for a average cappuccino on a button print, I wouldn't expect from your house. I really slog my language in the last time when I was on a spontaneous visit. I advise all other coffee lovers to simply sneak the coffee in the pearl or not to be soared by the appearance, or to ask how it is prepared for the event they may change it! Low prices and average quality do not leave a bad impression. However, high prices - higher than in many of the best coffee roasting companies in Germany - are already combined with average coffee. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good, the balcony looks out of the black forest, there is an old miner's previous walkway, after breakfast, I went to walk and encountered wild deer and rabbits.
