DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport

The hotel rooms are a bit old and seem like they haven't been renovated in years. However, the location is very convenient, and the hotel shuttle service is excellent. If you want to go to the city center, you can easily take the light rail from the airport. The pool was decent, but I didn't use the gym. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, though the hotel's internal restaurant was just okay and a bit overpriced.

The duvet and duvet cover in the room were really strange, completely exposed. I seriously have to question the hygiene here. ❓

Very close to the airport, the hotel is quite large. I stayed there overnight for a layover and left early in the morning, so I didn't get to experience much else. There's a shuttle service to the hotel, which is very convenient.

The room size was decent. Upon check-in, they gave me two cookies which were quite tasty. The hotel parking costs $33.33 per night, including tax. The hotel isn't far from the airport; I could even walk there and didn't use their free shuttle service. There's a supermarket nearby and an American-style restaurant across the street, so dining options are convenient. However, they don't provide toothpaste, toothbrushes, slippers, or complimentary bottled water. I'd say it's just an okay hotel for a layover.

The airport shuttle is very frequent, which is great – makes getting to and from the airport super easy. Even though it's near the airport, getting to and from downtown is also convenient, offering good value for money. The bed in the room was really high though! 😂 Probably the highest bed I've seen in North America this trip. The coffee machine was quite old and didn't look very clean. The bathroom felt a bit too big, a waste of space really. I checked out the pool and gym, and they both looked pretty good. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use them. If I ever come back to Seattle, I'd definitely consider staying here again. This DoubleTree Hilton really has a resort-like feel, with a huge property. The breakfast experience was excellent; I particularly loved the omelette and pancakes. It seems like every Hilton property these days offers daily cookies. From Hawaii to Seattle, you can just ask for them at the front desk every day!!

The airport drop-off service was excellent, running every twenty minutes and always on time. The check-in staff were also great; they extended my check-out time by an hour and even gave me delicious cookies. However, the airport pick-up service was terrible. I waited at gate 3A for a full fifty minutes. A car drove right past me without stopping in the middle of it – what was that all about? I was dragging two suitcases and ended up chasing it, which left me with a huge bruise. Furthermore, this hotel is massive with many buildings. The building I stayed in felt like it had very few guests. The room facilities were also quite old (though I appreciated having a microwave in the room). There were all sorts of noises at night, and being alone, I honestly got a bit scared. I ended up sleeping with the lights on.
