My husband and I only had one night at the Hotel Ballard and really wish we could have stayed longer. We’ve visited Seattle a few times and this was our first time in Ballard so it was a great introduction to the area. I had requested an early checkin in advance and was thrilled to be accommodated. We arrived late morning and the kind and helpful gentleman at the front desk registered us and gave us a parking pass so we could leave our car. We explored the cool neighborhood and spent some time at the Nordic Museum (which we greatly enjoyed) and when we returned our room was ready at the promised time. We sprung for a Courtyard Suite on the top floor and it was well worth the price, stylish, clean, spacious and exceedingly comfortable. There’s a sitting room with a cozy couch and chairs along with a fireplace and TV. The bedroom featured a king bed, nightstands, another TV, a chest of drawers and closet. The bathroom had a huge soaking tub, large walk in shower, vanity with plenty of space and a separate toilet room. There were soft towels and robes and all of the amenities you’d expect, including quality bath products. We were able to walk over to The Walrus and the Carpenter for an early dinner (highly recommend) and got delicious gelato for dessert at a shop nearby. We decided to leave the car and used Uber to get to the magnificent Chihuly glass museum near the Space Needle. It was incredibly quiet overnight and we slept very well. We asked at the front desk for a recommendation for an early breakfast and he pointed us to Salmon Bay Cafe, a short walk away. It has a fun, retro vibe, service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious with generous serving sizes. Overall we had a terrific experience and we’d definitely return.

My sons both go to UW. Whenever I can, I stay at Hotel Ballard. It's one of my favorite hotels in the world. The rooms are great, luxurious. The staff excellent. Stoneburner restaurant below is perfect for a meal. And there's nothing better than walking around Ballard, the location is perfect. Views from the roof are great. We stay in the courtyard suite which I find quiet and private, despite the event space on the roof. The grand suites (I think) face the street but are also pretty quiet. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, it makes for a great visit to Seattle, a treat.

I am hesitant to provide a glowing review due to the fact that I’d like to have an available room next visit. To be fair, it truly is four stars. Staff, location to restaurants, points of interest and recreation, cleanliness, amenities. We sincerely had a wonderful visit and staff allowed us to hang around an hour later due to flight timing. I recommend Hotel Ballard.

Lovely stay! Staff was friendly. Fun neighborhood and great location.

Great for the most part. We had a suite on the roof, which was actually super quiet inside vs the noise of Seattle outside. Made for some fun people watching since a bunch of bars line the street down below. Very clean and a beautiful room. The bed was a bit stiff for my preferences but definitely not the worst. The most bothersome thing was a gap under the door to the room that let in a ton of cold air. You can somewhat remedy it by closing the seperation door between the small entry/livingroom area and the bedroom half. But that still didnt completely solve the issue cuz the heater would blow in the bedroom and then it got overly warm. If they could fix that, it'd really help overall comfort. But all in all it was a great place to stay and not a long commute to pretty much everything youd want to get to in Seattle. Im sure we will be back!

Best place in Ballard to stay. Excellent location. Staff unbelievably nice. Excellent food, especially the flank steak at the Stoneburner restaurant.
