The Poco Diablo hotel is located several miles outside of Sedona. It has most amenities to keep you busy for your stay- a network of hiking trails 1//4 mile from the property, golf course, swimming pool, tennis court and laundry room. The hotel is connected by a shuttle from Phoenix and the Verde Valley shuttle takes you from the hotel to Sedona and other areas of interest. Because the hotel is located away from Sedona you have the opportunity to do star gazing at night. The rooms are spacious. I especially liked the bathroom as there were two sinks- one in the wash area and one outside. Manager Phil and concierge William were easy to talk too and very pleasant. They provided answers to our questions. The hotel still follows Covid-19 protocols so staff had limited contact with guests. Housekeeping is limited to changing towels and picking up trash. I did not give this hotel 5 stars as they do not have a gift or sundry shop. The Willow restaurant at the hotel is open only for dinner. They have no breakfast or lunch options. We went to Safeway to stock up on breakfast supplies. Buy snacks and drinks for your stay at the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Central location of the town, eating around, shopping and its convenience, living on the 2nd floor, no elevator, the room is medium in size, there is a small balcony, you can see the scenery in the distance, parking is free, but the location is not very good.

The breakfast was great. It was the best in the hotel where I had breakfast for free on this trip. There were whole wheat bread, scones, fruit, fresh milk, and I could make my own waffles. The front desk staff was also very enthusiastic.

This place was so much fun! They really catered to families with young kids. We were given a scavenger hunt to fill out during check-in. .The kids LOVED doing that. I would also recommend trying the included breakfast. We had a suite with a beautiful view of the mountains. We also walked across the street to grab pizza. Excellent food! We also enjoyed the heated pool and spa in the evening.

Nothing bad to say, the rooms are stunning and clean, the staff was very accommodating and kind. Beautiful property and many pools throughout the resort for ppl to use. I would come again My only wish is that there were more plates to accommodate the number of guests and utensils.

The hotel was in the perfect location, it was very nice having a kitchenette. The pool and hot tub were fabulous even though there was snow on the ground. The walls were a little thin and we heard a lot of pounding from above, so I recommend getting a room on the 2nd floor. Every one was very nice, they do try to get you to stay longer with $ incentives and deals on meals and excursions, but they aren't pushy if you already have these things booked and you're not interested. Overall, for the price it was a great stay!

This hotel was a fine stop for our family's two days in Sedona. Located about 10-12 minutes or so south of Sedona, and convenient to Red Rock State Park. The rooms on the north side have nice views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, and the staff were very friendly, the room clean, and place quiet. Nice touch with homemade cookies and water upon check-in, and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was helpful. Not a luxury property, but a fine place to stay when hiking/exploring in the area.

We’re located in the Village of Oak Creek, in Sedona, by the red rock buttes and canyons of the area. The attractions of Sedona are a 15-minute drive away, including the Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village. Play a round at Sedona Golf Resort or hike one of the many local trails. Relax in a hot tub or take a dip in one of our two outdoor pools.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, close to the sights, the road is being built in the center of the town, the place is just right, quiet, the environment is better, and the price is high. The signal is worse. The room was large and the kitchen was well-equipped. As we went out early and returned late, we only boiled water to drink. Next stay two days to experience the activities of the resort.

Excellent
GGuest UserThis is a beautiful resort located in the middle of the canyon. It's a little bit far from the town, however, you get really connected with nature. I had a room facing the canyon, it's beautiful like you are living solo with nature. The sunlight is great, the rooms are clean and cozy. It does need some maintenance as it gets old over time, however, they are very comfortable to stay in. The best thing I love is the energy in the house and around. Stuff are super nice there and easy to work with.
GGuest UserLOVED this resort. Everyone we met who worked here was courteous, friendly and genuinely seemed to care about their job and our stay at the resort. The food at both restaurants on the property was some of the best we've ever had anywhere on vacation. Unmatched views of Sedona's red rocks. Absolutely lovely!
GGuest UserI booked on Expedia based on the good reviews and when I got there, went into the office and found out that there was no one working at the motel. I had to wait to get a code to check in via email. Waited, waited, went shopping, and finally made a few phone calls and finally got the code. Went back to the motel and checked out the room. It was marginally clean, killed a few bugs but was going to stay anyway. We went out to dinner (location was the only plus about this motel). When we got back from dinner, we could not lock our door. I tried again and again, and could not get it to lock. In addition to the electronic lock not working, there was no lock inside the door as every motel/hotel I've ever stayed in has as a security measure so that a hotel/motel employee would not barge in on you at any moment. As I am a single mom, with 2 daughters, I felt extremely unsafe. This motel is on ground level, and anyone could have come in at any moment. we called the number for the ”virtual front desk” and I was speaking with a woman who said she was in California so she wasn't even sure if she could get someone from maintenance to check out the lock for us. I told her I felt unsafe and asked if we could get a refund and leave. She was actually very pleasant and said that would be okay. She even offered to help me find an other place to stay, and I said I would book something else on Expedia. We took our belongings and left. We had not touched the beds or anything. We did wash our hands in the bathroom, so probably used a hand towel or two. The next morning I received an email saying that they were charging me for the stay because they were able to lock the door. I was not imagining that I could not lock the door!! It was a huge inconvenience to have to leave and get a new room.
GGuest UserThe Amara will always remain a special place, It was very welcoming, and the atmosphere was breathtaking, the small things like greetings, and knowing our names when we walk in went a long way; I felt so welcomed!! The views of the red rocks and being on the creek made the location phenomenal. The rooms all have a balcony, some overlook the creek and the pool area. I love that the room is large, and very very clean! Located in the center of Sedona, you are close to all the shopping! The trip was for my Birthday, but it ended up in an engagement surprise too! The Amara made everything unique and special! There was a Birthday surprise in the room with cookies, and apple cider, The property created a special and romantic vibe that made the whole proposal so much more memorable! I felt so special and over thrilled with joy. Overall, the staff was very friendly, & exceptionally welcoming. We enjoyed my birthday breakfast at Salt Rock, our server Marco was so kind and checked on us frequently, and made sure everything was brought out in a timely fashion and how we ordered it.
GGuest UserThis Inn was such a pleasant surprise! I planned our Sedona trip later than I usually put plans together, so the room type I asked for was not available when I made the reservation. At check-in, the Manager upgraded our room & we were so comfortable there! Recently renovated, comfortable beds, lovely room, detailed comfort, you could tell someone really thought through all the appointments. It even had a TV channel guide and every room door was screened from the parking lot by its own front porch and also had a cushioned love seat to enjoy the beautiful Sedona Red Rock view. The air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave and mini coffee maker worked great. One of the best things about the Inn was being just next door to the gorgeous Tlaquepaque market.
GGuest UserWe had our Granddaughter and mom in for an Arizona visit so Grand Canyon and Sedona were at the tope of the list. In looking at places to stay this looked like a Southwest style they would enjoy. The pictures are current and the place is as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Good location close to town dining and shops. Pool and spa nice for this class of hotel. Breakfast is included but not much to chose from. If your need coffee and a bagel its ok but not much else. Second floor rooms have a balcony with table and chairs your can sit out and relax on also. Even though it was only one night we were very happy with this hotel for what we expected. Will go back again. Hint: Rooms on second floor have a better view, but there are about 10 steps up from the walkway so if that gives you issues climbing (with your bags as well) you may want to stay on first floor. You can see the steps in the photos.
GGuest UserFirst, the positive:
1. The staff was courteous, professional, and helpful.
2. The outdoor area was well above par. The pool was clean with in-pool loungers (4). Safety equipment and signage posted. Multiple cabanas (6?) were available. Large fire pit with plentiful seating. The pool is 5 feet deep at the center. This is not a pool made for swimming laps, but for lounging.
3. Rooms have an outdoor balcony with a table and 2 chairs.
4. Windows have both a blackout screen and a privacy screen. The window is able to be opened for fresh air and is screened.
5. HVAC was in good order and worked perfectly.
6. In room refrigerator was clean and worked well. Microwave, TV, and phone in room.
7. Breakfast area was spacious and breakfast offered multiple options though I did not avail myself of this amenity.
Now, the negative:
1. The room itself was much smaller (king bed ) than expected. Room was cramped and looked nothing like the pictures on the website.
2. The bathrooms were recently remodeled, but the aesthetics are problematic. Why would anyone put wood laminate flooring in a bathroom with a walk in shower that has approximately a 2” inch lip and shower curtain in lieu of doors? You take a shower and the floor gets wet...no bueno.
3. There is a $10 per night service fee charged on registration. The fee is for wifi and other services. I don't recall seeing this posted when I reserved the room, but perhaps I overlooked it. I didn't object paying it, but the fee should be transparent.
4. Housekeeping is performed every 3 days and if you need more towels, etc., simply contact the front desk and they will have what you need brought up.
Other: I booked the room for 2 nights but opted not to stay the 2nd night.
