Tazawako Lake Resort & Onsen Reviews

The service is good considering that I couldn’t speak nor understand their language, they could still make you feel welcome and feel good about the service experience stay. The onsen was a first for us and it was an amazing experience.

We took this because it is the cheapest in the area. It is 15 min away from tazawako train station. Ask the hotel to pick you up. Otherwise by taxi, it will probably be 3000 yen? The breakfast and dinner are 18000 and 52000 yen. So either book with the meals included or please buy food before checking in. No shops around that area.

Perfect for those who aim for skiing and snowboarding. The dinner is a buffet with wide range of selections but if you want a King crab to be included, you need to inform the hotel prior your dinner otherwise no King crab at all. Room is ok for its rate and parking lot is wide. Overall is ok.

We stay 2 times very good hotel

We went from Kakunodate to Tazawako. Because we were going to Tazawako for sightseeing, we first put our luggage in the hotel. As a result, the front desk said that the room had been cleaned and let us check in first. The attitude was really very good! They also explained to us the bus route and time to Tazawako, as well as the bus time to pay attention to when we come back. Thank you so much! After visiting Tazawako, I soaked in the hotel's hot spring ♨️, which was clean and hygienic! At night, we had a buffet. They were all elderly Japanese tourists, and there was also a ********* tour group. They all paid great attention to dining etiquette! After checking out the next day, there was also a free bus to Tazawako Station! During the period, my little daughter left her mobile phone on the bus. After the driver checked the car, he immediately sent it over! My little daughter didn't realize that she had left her mobile phone. I really thank the driver! Like their service awareness👍!

The hotel is large, the rooms are very clean, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Dinner and breakfast are buffets, and the taste is okay. The hot springs are indoor and outdoor, and they are very comfortable. Lake Tazawa is also very beautiful, and the water is clear.

It takes two and a half hours from Ueno to Lake Tazawa. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel, but unfortunately there is no shuttle bus after 17:00. Since we had already arrived, we could only take a taxi to Tazawa Lake Hot Spring Resort, which cost about 2800-3000 yen. Dinner ended at 21:00, we arrived around 19:00, and got on base safely. You can soak in the hotel hot spring until 24 o'clock. Breakfast starts around 6:30 and lasts until 9:00. You can ask the hotel front desk for a disposable skin care kit. The hot springs are comfortable and clean, and there are also saunas available. Although it is a smoking room, there is no smell of smoke. The only complaint is that the room is on the second floor of the annex building. I can hear the sound of water all night. I don't know if it is the hot spring or the kitchen. Those who are sensitive to sound will ask for a higher room. Dinner and breakfast are all buffet.

We stayed with our family. There was a mistake in our reservation entry procedure, so thank you for accommodating two additional children on the day at short notice. We also stayed here in April last year, and the sushi🍣 at the evening buffet was delicious. The squid sushi was especially great. Our 5- and 3-year-old children's eyes lit up at the wide variety of buffet items, and they ate with delight, saying "Delicious! Delicious!" There was a wide variety of easy-to-eat dishes, so we had to ask for seconds several times. As for the hot spring, there were toys for children in the bathroom, so they didn't get bored while bathing. We would definitely like to stay here again at this time next year.

The price/performance ratio is quite high, but since you are already in Akita, why not go to Nyuto Onsen? Try Tsuru no Yu or Taeno Yu? For a casual hot spring novice, this hotel is really enough. The bed is also quite comfortable. The temperature of the hot spring is 42 degrees, and the water should be circulated.

It's a nice natural hot spring. Dinner was also delicious.

The Japanese-style room is very large. You can smell the smell of tatami as soon as you enter the door. It smells so good. The view outside the window is very beautiful. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. It's a very nice hotel!
