Wons Ville Myeongdong Hotel

The front desk staff spoke fluent Japanese, which was a relief! (Maybe they were Japanese?) When I requested amenities at night, they brought them right away, which was very helpful. The room was spacious enough for one person to spread out their carry-on bag. The location was very convenient, as it was close to Myeongdong Station and Chungmuro ​​Station.

The staff were nice, but the hotel had many questionable aspects... When I tried to check in and gave my name, there was no one else waiting and it took about 10 minutes for my name to be called. I was starting to get worried, but then a staff member came and told me that my reservation had been missed. 　 It was already almost 8pm, so it would have been difficult to find another place to stay on the day, and I was honestly exhausted from traveling in Korea that day, so my mind was completely blank. They quickly prepared a room for me, so it was fine, but I had booked three nights, and on the second night, a staff member came to my room and said, "You're only booking for two nights, so you're supposed to check out today." I showed them my reservation sheet and told them that it wasn't. They said they'd check it, but I didn't hear anything after that, so I was worried, so I went to the reception and checked, and they told me that it was a mistake on the hotel's side. I would have felt more at ease if they had contacted me once they'd checked and found out. The staff were all Japanese and very friendly, which was nice as I was able to communicate with them with ease, however, there was a mistake on the hotel's part that made me feel uneasy at check-in and during my stay, which was very disappointing.

There are convenience stores, Daiso, and cafes within walking distance, and it's also quite close to Myeongdong Station on Subway Line 4, so it's very convenient for sightseeing. We stayed for two nights, and they cleaned the room nicely while we were out on the second day! We had a comfortable stay and will definitely stay again.

The entrance is hard to find. It's the same entrance as the cafe. There are three steps. When a family of three spreads out three suitcases, there is no room to step, but we were able to spread them out. It was good that it was close to Myeongdong. From Exit 9, there are stairs. If you have large luggage, it's a bit of a detour, but I recommend using the elevator at Exit 1. The facilities are a little old. The toilet and shower are close, so the floor gets wet. They cleaned it every day. They also give you a free bottle of water per person per day. When we checked out, a male staff member carried our suitcases down the stairs at the entrance, which was very helpful. They speak Japanese perfectly. The price is reasonable, so I think it's good value for money.

The room was very spacious and the hotel smelled great when I left the room. There was also a cafe on the first floor, which was nice.
