Hotel the May Jongno Reviews

It's only a minute's walk from Jongno 3-ga Station, and the area is a drinking district, so there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. Anguk and Gyeongbokgung Palace, which are also popular cafes, are also quite close, so it's easy to get to the city. There were 3-4 people at the front desk at times, so it was easy to ask if there was anything I needed, and it was reassuring. I requested a room with a bathtub in advance, and they accepted my request. The room was clean, but if you get a room with a bathtub, the bathroom takes up about half of the space, which was interesting lol. However, there is no door between the bathroom and the room, so be careful if you're staying with someone! I wanted to hang out some clothes temporarily, but there was no place to hang a hanger other than the cloakroom, which was a bit inconvenient. There were also two holes for the outlet next to the bed, and in the Korean hotels I've stayed in, the C-type converter was too loose and would come out, but this one fit in firmly, and the SE-type one would come out right away and be pointless. Maybe there's no electricity in that area? I wish they'd do something about this. The TV provided was great for watching Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube. I asked the front desk if they would clean the room every day, and they readily agreed, so I felt safe in terms of hygiene (I only returned to the hotel one day to drop off my luggage in the evening, and the floor where my room was was just being cleaned. When I returned around 8pm, it hadn't been cleaned either, so I asked the front desk and they immediately started cleaning, which was a quick response). I was very grateful to receive clean towels and two bottles of water every day. Overall, it was a great location and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Korea.
