Ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Yongsan - Seoul Dragon City

The room was clean and tidy, and getting around was super convenient. You can walk to Yongsan Station right from the hotel entrance, which is really handy. I've also stayed at the other two hotels nearby (Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan and ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Yongsan - Seoul Dragon City), and they were both good! Plus, the food around Yongsan is absolutely fantastic!

The location is great! You can walk directly from Yongsan Station without getting wet, even if it's raining. The front desk is tucked away on the first floor, and there's a convenience store on the second floor. The room was larger than expected, with two refrigerators and a microwave. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The only downside was the heavy rain on the second night; the sound of the rain hitting the exterior facade was incredibly loud. In the middle of the night, I actually thought the ceiling was leaking! I'm not sure if it's just my floor that's like this, but next time I'll try a room on a higher floor.

I genuinely recommend the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, I've stayed here four or five times now, and it's by far the most comfortable hotel experience I've had in Seoul. The hotel is consistently clean and fresh, with a subtle, pleasant scent in the rooms year-round. The hygiene standards are excellent, and the staff are gentle and polite, providing an outstanding service experience. On the second floor, there's a 24-hour CU convenience store, which is incredibly handy for shopping. You can grab instant noodles and snacks late at night and even prepare them right there in the store. You'll never have to worry about daily essentials. The location is absolutely perfect, situated in Seoul's transportation hub, right next to Yongsan KTX Station. You can take the high-speed train directly to other cities in Korea. The subway lines are comprehensive, making transfers and travel very smooth. Right next door is the massive Yongsan IPARK Mall, with a complete range of shops, including many unique hidden gems, and you can even buy duty-free items directly. You can spend your leisure time shopping, dining, and stocking up, then head straight back to the hotel. It makes getting around and enjoying your trip incredibly hassle-free. Taxis are easy to find in the vicinity, and traffic is smooth, not congested, making transportation accessible in all directions. Overall, the stay is comfortable and convenient, with excellent hygiene and service, and superb accessibility. It's a hidden gem of a hotel that I'll definitely return to whenever I'm in Seoul. Highly recommended!

The location is pretty good, near a subway station with a convenient direct corridor to the train station. It's also not far from Seoul Station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a mall inside the subway station, which is great for shopping and dining.

The hotel's spa and hot spring facilities are absolutely fantastic, and the sauna is excellent. You can enjoy them at night for just 10,000 Korean Won. It's usually not crowded, so I highly recommend it. The facilities are also very new. And a crucial point: Korean water is soft water, soft water, soft water! I can't stress that enough.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right at Yongsan Station Exit 3. Just follow the elevated walkway, enter the 'Food Exchange' and you'll find the elevator. This is the second floor; take the elevator down to the first floor for the Novotel lobby. The Mercure, Ibis, and Novotel are all connected. Continue through the Novotel lobby to the other end to reach the Ibis front desk. Check-in and luggage storage are very convenient. Given it's Seoul and the excellent transportation links (subway, ITX, KTX from Yongsan Station are all very accessible), the hotel's price is comparable to downtown Shanghai 🤣, but when you factor in potential taxi costs for getting around, it offers really good value for money. Plus, the room isn't small, the environment is quiet and comfortable, with complimentary mineral water and a kettle, and the toiletries are of good quality. Highly recommend!
