Zwaar onder de maat. Magere ontvangst. Muffige totaal versleten gehorige hotelkamer zonder airco of ventilatie. Enige 'frisse lucht' moest van geopend raam aan de drukke straatzijde komen. Deurklink viel eraf, douchekop kon niet worden opgehangen, was afgebroken en lag los in de douchebak. Geen leeslampjes bij het bed, anders dan scheefhangend felle wandlamp. Het ontbijt was mager. Personeel aanvankelijk niet te vinden ook niet bij vertrek uit het hotel.

Merci la providence ! Venus du Nord nous roulions depuis longtemps . La recherche d'un hôtel devenait compliquée . Il était 20h passé quand nous sommes arrivés sur Serres . Une chance , il restait des chambres à l' Hôtel Du Nord . De plus le cuisinier a accepté de nous préparer une assiette ! Que du bonheur !

Nous y avions déjeuné il y a plusieurs années et avions gardé un excellent souvenir. Nous y sommes revenus avec plair en allant voir nos enfants et ne l avons pas regretté ! Très agréable terrasse arborée qui nous a permis de déjeuner agréablement au frais avant de reprendre la route par une chaleur écrasante. Accueil charmant par un personnel souriant, service rapide. Dejeuner delicieux, avec produits frais. Nous avons pris 2 carpaccio avec frites - délicieuses - et salade, 1 tarte au myrtilles et 2 boules de glace à la vanille pour mon mari qui n en avait pas mangé d aussi bonne depuis longtemps. Une vraie glace maison7! Eau minérale , 1 café. Prix raisonnable : 50€20. A noter que , malgré l affluence, les toilettes ont dû être nettoyées régulièrement car impeccables, ce qui est très appréciable !
