+ Usually Free parking + Beautiful well kept garden and patio, great for taking pictures. + Rooms follow an original architecture - The rooms are a lot smaller (total ~ 24m) than the pictures make it out to be. - The minibar fridge is in need of an upgrade. It does not beep when it isn’t fully closed and there’s no way to tell if the fridge is closed or not because the door of the fridge is attached to the door of the cupboard. If the fridge is overheating, the electric switches for the main power supply of the room will flicker on and off.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the staff really elevates the experience to the next level. Stephano greeted me after a long day of travel and was honestly just a joy. He was extremely welcoming and super knowledgeable about both the property and Milan- you can tell that he has pride in both. I had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was so good, I also went again my last night in town. Georgia and Risnard were my servers and they continued the warn welcome I experienced from day one. Waiting on a taxi one night, I stopped and saw Ciro in the lobby bar who made a wonderful G&T and was lovely to chat with. The hotel may be a bit outside of the city center but it was a 10 minute walk to the metro (which is so efficient and clean) so it was a nice way to start the day. Overall, my room was clean and the bed comfortable and I would stay at this location again.

I’m not sure how this hotel got such rave reviews. Our rooms weren’t ready when we got there, which was after check-in. The condition of the front desk should have been an indicator of the upkeep of the rest of the hotel. The real problem? The cleanliness of the bathrooms. Pink mold in some places and black mold in others. Splatters on the tile walls. The furniture had horrible rings and the floor was unfinished. I’m not sure how this place could get affiliated with Hilton. The frescoes and the breakfast area were amazing, though. Also, it’s in an area that’s somewhat run down, and away from the city center.
