Hi, I stayed at your establishment with my now fiancé, on 20/04/2024 til 21/04/2024 and what an absolute pleasure it was. The staff were fantastic! Thomas at the front desk was such a lovely and polite chap. Our room was great and the food was outstanding! The grounds and scenery are beautifully breathtaking. The Coniston was the perfect place to propose to my partner and she said YES! So that made our stay even more perfect! we can’t wait to come back later in the year! We didn’t catch the two girls names at the front desk on the morning we checked out, but they were fabulous and both will remember my partner showing off her engagement ring to them. Thomas and these two girls, are three of the most professional and polite people we’ve ever come across in hospitality and their service and excellent manner, are a credit to your establishment. Visited for one night on Monday 22/08 perfect welcome - everyone was friendly, attentive and very informative. Also the check out was just as perfect. Room was perfectly clean and very good value! I’d stay again in a heartbeat - the Team were really good ! It’s hard to get good staff but you’ve managed it - congratulations! See you in 4 weeks ! I return every month to the UK so you are now my go-to hotel ! See you again soon !

I have been to 3 Green pubs in the last month and it would seem to be the case in each one, needs an update tired and shabby. ~The staff in all three were pleasant and hardworking, a credit to the company. The food however is rubbish you need to change the chef in all three. breakfast in one cant poach eggs, hard as bullets. Burger and fries in second burger tasteless and poor quality served almost cold. The last The Marine in Hornsea , a thirty five minute wait, fish chips and mushy peas. the peas were like thick pea soup and stone cold, the fish slightly over cooked warm with the few chips hidden underneath , nothing on the plate was hot and to say we waited and paid over £13 per portion. Needless to say that is the last visit we will be making to a Green King eatery or Hotel.

Hotel sanitation feels OK, meals are poor, the door of the room is not locked, and it is not very safe. The windows are noisier towards high speeds. However, the work enthusiasm of the hotel is still more enthusiastic.

An overnight stay whilst in the area for work - the cheapest hotel I could find in the Kendal area, and was literally only using it for sleep and getting ready the next morning. Yes the room was a bit shabby, but for how long I was there and for what I paid it really didn't matter. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I like this hotel and have stayed here a few times. It is well located near Blackburn just off the M65 at junction 5. The on site pub is nice and there are also numerous places nearby where you can socialise and eat and drink. The room is of a high standard and modern, the bathroom is more than adequate for shaving or doing makeup properly. The room was warm and comfortable even though it was quite cold outside. Check-in is straight forward and handled in the adjoining pub. Once you have checked in your key card gives you access into the hotel accommodation. There is a night porter available when the pub is closed but you won't see staff in the hotel accomodation apart from housekeepers in the morning so it's useful if a little discretion is required.
