Worst hotel stay ever and I’ve stayed in lots of hotels. This was the hotel that I was most looking forward to staying at, as well as being one of the most expensive, on our grand Spain tour but it ended up being such a let down in every possible way. The public areas are really beautiful and historical but the rooms are a disaster, all the facilities are just simply way too outdated for this age and time without significant updates. The bathroom leaks water and the tiles are not slip resistant and my friend slipped and fell. The furniture is shabby and tattered. When we first checked in to the room the rubbish from the previous guests was still in the waste bin which really is disgusting. Pillows are cheap and floppy. My honest advice is to visit the hotel for the architectural beauty and find another hotel for accommodation.

The hotel itself belongs to Marriott's Luxury Collection brand. It was built by Alfonso XIII for the World Expo. It has a strong historical atmosphere and the elevator is very unique. The room itself is also very good, with good furnishings, comfortable beds and bathrooms. The supplies are all from selected brands, and there are no shortcomings except that there is no separate shower; the breakfast is rich and tastes good. It is self-service. There is a dedicated hot food chef in the left channel facing the dining table, who can make omelette and omelettes. And so on; luggage handling when checking in, luggage storage and taxi calling when leaving the hotel were all smooth; a final reminder: since this hotel is a well-known luxury hotel in the local area, it will be considered a wealthy person, so be careful when taking a taxi. The driver will charge you more. I came from the airport and used the meter for around 28 euros, but the driver charged me 35 euros. Please be careful.

Negative review(*｀へ´*) 1. The room was cleaned too slowly. When I returned to the room at 14:30 after traveling, it was not cleaned yet, which was very inconvenient; 2. The free water provided in the room is too little, only 3 small bottles, which is not enough to drink; 3. Staying for 3 consecutive days without changing bed sheets and quilts every day; 4. Disposable toiletries will not be replaced with new ones every day.
