I should say from the start that you don't feel at home at Domaine Desaubin, unless you already have your own piece of paradise back home :)! The only thing that makes it feel like home is the friendliest and kindest hosts that will make your stay perfect. The rest is just out of this world, at least for people like me living in a busy city with traffic jams, pollution and angry people. From the moment you step into this location, you'll see that everything is in perfect harmony with nature and attention to detail. Everything is designed with love and passion, starting with the garden, which is splendid and ending with the rooms. Not to mention everything is well taken care of constantly. The hosts are friendly and warm, always ready to help and care for you. The breakfast is consistent and delicious, and the best part - it is served on your terrace. Same for dinner - best fish I had in Seychelles, if not the entire world. The quality-price ratio for breakfast and dinner is more than fair, considering Seychelles is not a cheap destination. Before you visit Seychelles and book a room at Domaine Desaubin, you must know the following: 1. If you're not an outdoor person, you might feel uncomfortable because of the fauna. You'll see lizards crawling the trees, dragonflies, colorful birds singing all day long, turtles, peacocks, cats, and some friendly dogs. Luckily, I love nature, and I have three dogs back home, so it was a blessing to have a furry friend to pet every day. If you don't like any of these and you're scared if you see a lizard on your terrace, you could pick a different location. However, Seychelles is about unspoiled nature, so it wouldn't be fair to complain that you're privileged enough to live a few days amongst harmless creatures. 2. The location is remote (from Victoria or crowded areas), so you should rent a car. This is common in Seychelles, as it is the most reliable means of transportation for tourists, and finding a taxi is not easy or cheap. 3. There is no mobile network coverage for Airtel, and most likely, your national provider has a roaming agreement with them. In my case, it is Vodafone Romania, so I had to live one week "disconnected". However, the WiFi works well, and it is stable most of the time. 4. The beach is not for swimming. There are a few beaches nearby. Police Bay is just a 20 minute walk, and it's perfect for swimming. We visited that beach a few times, and we saw only 4-5 people. Besides this, we always ended the day with an ice-cold drink by the pool side at Domaine Desaubin, watching the sunset. If you're lucky enough to find an available villa at Domaine Desaubin, go for it right away. You'll thank me later :).
