Days Inn by Wyndham Shallotte

Worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! The bed was awful, while taking a shower there was a dried up used washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod when I closed over the shower curtain. During my stay (I booked this hotel for 2 nights) I was unsure if this place was a welfare motel. Sketchy individuals sitting in the lobby, the hallway, parking lot and glad I had my dog with me. There was a couch in the room that was disgusting. I would never stay here ever again. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay.

My grandma has severe anxiety and often has panic attacks. She unfortunately had a blown out tire and ended up in the Days Inn parking lot today. Someone named Cassandra who works at the Days Inn came out to check on her and offered her an orange juice. Cassandra saw how distressed my grandma was and proceeded to come back out and demand $7 for the orange juice she gave her. My grandma only had a $10 bill and Cassandra says “that’s fine. The tip will be for me.” She then offered my grandma to go sit inside of the hotel until AAA came. While she was inside I assume Cassandra and another employee that was outside went into my grandmas car and stole $50 from the console. That was all she had for a tire. I’m not sure what kind of human beings are working at this Days Inn but I am appalled at the treatment my 70 year old highly distressed grandmother had to experience today. I attempted to call the Days Inn to complain but no one answered the phone after multiple attempts to call.

I have never in my life stayed at a hotel that was so filthy. I was embarassed to bring my granddaughter here. The floors looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The microwave oven had food remnants inside it. The floor in the dining area had spilt milk and other liquid on it. I had to watch everywhere I walked. The shower curtain was installed incorrectly so I could not take a shower without leaving water on the floor. I felt very uncomfortable staying at this place. Please don't bring your family here. You will be very disappointed and it will be a big waste of money. Way overpriced for the value.

Great room, good location, friendly staff, nice pool, Great price, will definitely stay there again.

I made the mistake of booking a one-night stay at your hotel on Saturday 6/22. Due to an Emergency Medical Hospitalization with my spouse while on our beach vacation, he was admitted to the Novant Brunswick Medical Center. Needing accommodations for myself I checked in late evening after leaving the Med Center. Upon entering my room I found unsanitary conditions which I certainly should not have encountered for $228.00/night!! I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and certainly expected more from a Wyndham hotel. These were unsanitary unacceptable accommodations. Dirty bedding, dirty microwave, stained & dirty chair, hole in the bathroom door, broken bathroom light lens and no tissues available!

No ventilation in bathroom Moldy chair and a.c. vents Sheets didn’t look clean ROACHES big and small were found congregating in the bathroom in the middle of the night. They didn’t show any fear when I turned the light on. I also threw our pizza box in the trash outside after finding the roach hotel party they were having inside of it

Not clean. Soft spot in floor and the floor was cracking. TV wouldn't work. And for the price we had to pay for 1 night, is ridiculous for what we got.

This place is so bad . I don’t recommend staying there. The heat didn’t work nor did the television or telephone. Loud barking dogs at 2am . I had to call the reservation center from my cell phone 3 times before anyone could get the front desk to answer. It was over an hour before we could get a response. I wouldn’t stay here again . The guy at the front desk was nice but that’s the only positive thing about this place. It’s a shame I can’t give this place a minus 10. This is unlike any Wyndham hotel I have ever been to.

Great experience, will stay here again when visiting family. The handicapped room was great for my husband with muscular dystrophy. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The parking was good. Easy access from the highway.
