A whole set of recent reviews on Google state that "this is not the old Leonia". And it is true - it almost looks like a property that has fallen on hard times and is struggling to keep up appearances. The property has some basic flaws which are odd. The hotel has no direction signage inside the complex. The entrance to the lobby was blocked off by crash barriers which means that no vehicle could drive up to unload luggage. The parking area opposite to the hotel is pitch dark with no lights. This seems like a safety issue - the passengers or driver might inadvertently injure themselves while managing to navigate the parking lot in darkness. I have rarely seen a hotel property be this lackadaisical in how it treats patrons. There seems to be no clear mask mandate. Both guests and staff move about without masks. The room provided to us on the 12th floor - a "smart room" - seemed to have been unused for a while. The floor was dusty, the wooden furniture was not wiped down for dust and no one had checked if fixtures work. An entire panel of switches and plug points did not work. The bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. Scale stains in shower area and taps, a mirror that has obvious visible marks and a basin area with rust stains. The layout seems to be not friendly to wheelchair too. I'd recommend avoiding this hotel for a stay. The number of issues make it a hazardous choice and not something you'd want to subject yourself to during evening hours.
