Had a great stay at Cold Spring. Rose is a gem running the whole operation. She made us feel at home and directed us to all of the attractions in the area. Whoa thought I’d find a Sweet Irish brogue in the middle of the Catskills. It’s refreshing to see a place that’s not fancy shmancy with regular people. I’ll be heading up there again soon. PS. Left my charger in the room called Rose within minutes she informed me that it will be mailed out that day. Who does that???? Be kind to one another❤️

Very rustic setting, which is nice. The cabins need some work. Some steps have been repaired, some are dangerous and need to be fixed. Electrical outlets are few and poor quality. Beautiful view of the stars. Pool tables shown in ads were not there. Carpets had stains and were damp also had a funky smell. Beautiful area, will go back but will stay somewhere else.

Went with our large family, rented 2 of the 3 bedroom cabins and we took our dogs! The back lawn is fabulous, so much room to hang out. New picnic tables arrived when we were there and some new lawn chairs. The cabins are rustic, clean and have what you need for the time you are there. Can some improvements be made, sure but quiet cabins with a great property to enjoy! We loved it and had a great time!

If you are looking for a simple and rustic setting to get you back to nature, this is a great spot. Remember those old summer camp days? I stayed in one of the log cabins. My friend and I brought groceries up and we grilled a feast. The property has a series of various cabins rather than your standard hotel so was fun to stay in. Felt more like living in a little house than running into a front desk and sharing elevators with strangers. After lunch we found this ultra-clear water creek. There was a beaver dam in the back (I missed out on seeing Rocky though). The best part was the star-gazing at night. We lit up the campfire pit and sat around, chatting up until late. Town is nearby, we went to an excellent diner in the morning. And a good brewery is close by as well.

Loved this stay, it's our third time in different seasons and the views are stunning. They have a creek on the property that we swam in. Lots of great hikes nearby. Comfy beds. Great pool. Can't wait to go again!

My husband and I and our friend stayed at a 3-bedroom cabin. We wanted to do some hiking and the lodge was located near all the hiking trails including the Giant’s Ledge, which was our favorite. We stayed for 3 nights and went hiking every day. There was a swimming pool on site and it was quite nice. The manager told us that all cabins were recently renovated. The lodge is also pet friendly and so we brought our dogs with us and they also had an amazing time. Highly recommend this place if you love outdoor and the nature.

We've been here three times now and it never disappoints. It's the perfect and affordable hideaway from the city, close to the best trails, quirky towns, and great diners & restaurants. You get some incredible mountain views from a pasture field that is perfect for BBQing and hanging with friends or family. Bonus: there's a creek in the back you can dip in if the pool isn't up to your personal liking.

We had a group of us last weekend, took 2 cabins. Grilled out in the backyard, hiked in the creek area on the property, slept like a rock! Kitchens were perfect compliment to the grilling. Jacob the manager is very nice and helpful. Will be back!

This most disappointing experience begins upon arrival on a neglected, pot hole-filled entrance with a crooked sign and a dodgy front desk area. Then on to the cabin for the horror show. Barely-functional doors, windows that needed to be changed yesterday, draped in old dusty curtains, not a welcome sight. The kitchen is not functional : only one pot and pan, no dish towel nor coffee filters or sieve or most basic cooking amenities. The windowless bathroom has no fan and the door does not close, not practical for 2 couples. The bathtub and joints are full of grime; no one in our group had the stomach to take a shower. Bedroom was stuffy despite an airplane propeller-sized fan working full-time (past water damage? ) . The bedroom window sill has a foot-long gap so bugs and critters could have gotten in the cabin. Speaking of bugs, we had our lot of earwigs in the cabin; at least 4 sightings in 2 days. Finally, there was the mystery room in the kitchen, opening into a dirt-covered duct-laden closet. No one should charge these prices for such poor ccommodations. This place was all that was left in the area so we had to take it. If we had to do it again, I would rather sleep in the woods.
