Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Hotel (Shanghai Train Station) Reviews

I stayed at this hotel because I was catching a train. It's only a few minutes' walk to Shanghai Station, and the surrounding public transport is very convenient, with a subway station just a few minutes away. There are plenty of food options, including a shopping mall and many local eateries nearby.

Hotel is pretty outdated as you can tell from the room furnishing and exterior building but it was still comfortable to stay for 1 person. Location is accessible and near Shanghai train station.

During my booking, I requested for rooms on higher floors so I have a view of the city. We arrived early and when checking in, we were told that no rooms on high floors were available for us for early check in. However, counter staff proposed to give us upgraded rooms on the fifth floor so we can check in early. I had thought since we were given upgraded rooms so why not. Upon arriving at our rooms, we were disappointed. Comparing photos from my booking to the fifth floor room, it looks the same. So what upgrade was the staff claiming about? To make matters worse, the fifth floor window gave an absolute poor view of the hotel instead. See picture. To make matters more worse, my room was beside a linen storage room and their 'hardworking' staff made it a point to make known their presence next door early morning before 6am with trolley knocking noise! Breakfast spread was limited as well. Radisson would not be my next choice of stay when I visit again.

really convenient location as it’s next to the Shanghai railway station so if you want to take day trips out of shanghai it’s great! They have a gym and laundry room (free of charge) too which you can use! The staff are really friendly too!

Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the South Square of the train station. It's my first choice for business trips. The breakfast is also very rich, and the front desk staff are very welcoming and professional. The hotel facilities are very complete; even though it's not a new hotel, it's very well-maintained. Always my top pick for business travel.

Location: The location is excellent, with convenient transportation. It's close to the subway and behind Shanghai Railway Station, both within walking distance, which is very convenient. Cleanliness: The hygiene is good and clean; bedding is changed after every guest. There were no strange odors in the room. Service: The front desk staff provided service with a smile and were very efficient.

The locations are perfect walkable to Shanghai railway station. Breakfast are the best too.

Hotel is located in an excellent location. The amenities are superb, well-maintained, and smells nice even the carpet on the corridor. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and accommodating.

Located near the South Plaza, it's very close to both the train station and the subway. The room had a mini-fridge and plenty of drinking water. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly made noodles – the beef noodle soup had a generous amount of beef!

Love the location and service of the hotel. Breakfast is of great variety. The gym and laundry service are great too. Will come back again for the great location and hotel cleanliness
