Holiday Inn Express SHANGHAI PUDONG AIRPORT by IHG

The hotel is very close to the airport. It takes about 10 minutes by the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus. The service was fantastic—huge thanks to Jerry and Logic for preparing takeaway breakfasts for us in advance. We'll definitely choose to stay here again for our next layover! (*^-^)ﾉ🎉

The room was clean, Jerry and York provided excellent service, and the restaurant environment was also very good.

Let's start with the positives: the staff, from the front desk ladies to the restaurant crew, were all lovely. However, the hygiene was seriously subpar. As soon as I entered the room and put down my suitcase, I noticed the walls were grimy (Pic 1), and there was dust everywhere in the corners (Pic 2). The duvet also felt a bit damp, and the whole lobby had a humid feel. I didn't take a picture of the dental kit, but mine was so worn out, the bristles were practically bald.

Upon entering the room, there was an unpleasant odor, either from the bathroom or a stale, sweaty smell from the room being closed up for too long. It was very off-putting, and it made me feel like the bedding might not have been as clean as it should be. While it's an airport overnight hotel with a shuttle service to the airport, the surrounding area is extremely isolated, with absolutely nothing around. For food in the evening, you're limited to ordering takeout. Overall, I wouldn't highly recommend it.

The hotel is great! It has self-service laundry and the breakfast is also very good. The front desk staff are really nice. The rooms are spacious. Overall, it's an excellent hotel. It's close to [assuming a landmark/city center, as 'distance to hotel' is repetitive in original], and they also have an airport shuttle which is super convenient – it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the airport. Very good.

This is an excellent transit hotel under the InterContinental brand, perfect for a layover before an early flight or after a red-eye, thanks to its complimentary shuttle service to and from Pudong Airport. The rooms are simple and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is stable. It offers a breakfast buffet and a self-service laundry room, making it a great value for money for a stopover.
