Manxin Hotel Shanghai North Bund Reviews

They answered all of my questions and helped me when I needed a pharmacy. Morning breakfast was pretty good and was sometimes delivered by robot which was a fun novelty. The only small problem was the construction outside the hotel, but that was outside of their control. When I asked for a quieter room they helped me get a quieter room! I am glad I stayed here.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located close to the Bund, with the subway just a 10-minute walk away. There’s also a great mall—瑞红天地太阳宫—about 10 minutes away, which offers good restaurants and a supermarket. Facilities: The hotel is brand new, with a sleek, cozy, and well-thought-out design throughout, from the foyer to the rooms. There’s a laundry area and a small gym equipped with Technogym machines (a few extra weights would be a nice addition). They clearly didn’t cut corners here! However, I do hope they maintain their attention to detail when repairs are needed. It’s a common issue I’ve noticed: when something is fixed, the repair is often visible, making the space look worn out too quickly. It would be a shame for such a lovely hotel to lose its charm due to careless repairs. Staff: The staff are the real highlight! Every team member, from the cleaners to the receptionists, regardless of age, is incredibly helpful and genuinely seems to care about their work. On several occasions, they proactively assisted me, even when I hadn’t asked. Though their English may be limited, they go above and beyond to communicate and help in any way they can. Food: The breakfast offers a solid variety of healthy Chinese dishes—exactly what you’d want for a good start to the day. To sum up: If you’re in the area for business or leisure and want to avoid the larger, more standardized hotels, this boutique option is an excellent choice. It’s even better if you speak a little Chinese and enjoy Asian cuisine!

Very good business hotel. Suitable for single traveler and young couple. Room is modern and clean. Check in is smooth. Staff are nice.

Nice rooms with The Bund view, although we arrived during construction period. Staffs were friendly and nice. 👍👍

The hotel is very new and tastefully decorated. The key location is also very good, very close to the Bund, and it is very convenient to walk or ride a bike to the Bund. The advantages also include clean and tidy rooms, very good service, and rich breakfast varieties. The first choice for visiting Shanghai!

Everything is good, a very new hotel, clean and sanitary, the shower room and toilet are very large, it is very comfortable to take a shower, the service of the staff is just right, the scenery is also very good, and it is not far to walk to North Bund.

The hotel is very clean. The road outside is under renovation, but it does not affect traffic. The hotel is in a good location and is very convenient for taking the subway. The breakfast is very rich, free drinks are updated daily, and the room is also very large. The big screen TV looks very comfortable.

I chose Manxin out of habit. The hotel environment is very good and the decoration is actually quite suitable for taking photos. The room area is not particularly large (I felt that every inch of land in Shanghai is valuable hahaha), but it does not feel crowded.

Great hotel. This is my second stay. The front desk service is very good. They helped us upgrade our room type twice. I really like the pink style. The toiletries are also great and smell very comfortable. I will choose Manxin again in the future.
