Pod Inn (Shanghai Pudong Airport) Reviews

It was easily the smelliest place during my trip to China, in part likely due to the windows opening onto a murky river. It's bearable for a one-night stay if you're travelling solo and not too particular about cleanliness, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything longer.

More than what i could have bargained for, especially for this price. I arrived half an hour before the official check-in time, no problem. They instantly asked me when my flight would leave, and told me to be ready in the hotel lobby at 04:30 to get the free shuttle bus at 04:40. Everything is fine and well. Also had a real good night's rest, the bed was also much better than what i expected for the price. Will book again for sure!

The girls at the front desk were extremely nice and informative. They have lots of times that the free bus runs to the airport. Worth a stay if you have an early morning flight the next day.

convenient place if you need somewhere to stay after arriving at pudong airport, but the facilities were a little dirty and the service was not very helpful when we arrived at the airport looking for the pickup

Im baffled by this high rating, I would only give it 2 stars maximum. First off be careful when booking a two person room here as they only allow men to book those rooms. I had to pay and extra 80rmb to get a single room. The lady at the desk said on the Chinese booking apps it's clearly stated,but since I can't read Chinese the relevance of what she had to say to me in respect of that response is irrelevant. Trip. Com should really adjust this rating because if they consider newly renovated as painting over everything including rust as an upgrade it's pretty sad. Amenities are below par and slippers are multi use,which is disgusting, so bring your own!! The shower door was basically a piece of unmovable glass on rusted wheels. So major safety hazard to even move. I guess the saving grace on the price is it includes a shuttle to the airport. Also the entire building was musty ,old and smelled of cigarettes and mould.yuck! Not suitable for business traveler. Although not far from Pudong airport, it takes 1/2 an hour to get there via the bus service provided. As it is car pool and picking/dropping passenger in many different location. Hotel interior is new and good, but its exterior is rather dirty.

This hotel overturned my perception of the word "hotel". I got off the plane before eleven o'clock and took the bus to the hotel. There was no red light and no vehicles. It took half an hour to get to the hotel. When we got to the bridge under the hotel, the three of us, young and old, carried our luggage and walked down to the hotel with great effort. When I opened the door, I wanted to cry when I saw this room. I really have never seen such a dirty hotel. It is just a small hotel at best. The bedding is clean, not to mention how dirty the bathroom is. There are moldy black spots everywhere. There are melon seed shells on the floor, and there is not even a bedside table in the room. The service of the bartender last night was not bad. When I got up this morning and waited for the bus, I wanted to sit on the sofa. I saw that the sofa was so dirty. I asked the bartender to wipe it, but she ignored me. I wiped it myself with wet wipes, and the wet wipes suddenly turned black and I couldn't sit at all. I will not choose this so-called hotel if I agree to stay at the airport in the future. I can't stand it! I also hope that Ctrip can do a good job of checking so that everyone can have a good living environment.

The hotel environment is OK, the location is not very good, you need to walk down from the bridge, it is only a few kilometers away from the airport, and there is a free airport shuttle, one trip per hour, directly to the departure level, which is really friendly to the airport transfer, there are buses nearby, and it is also very convenient to take a taxi, directly to the door, the room is clean and sanitary, and toiletries are available. If you are missing something, the front desk lady will let us get it ourselves. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic and willing to help. Since we booked a special room, she specially helped us upgrade the room. It is also convenient to eat nearby, the price is affordable, the facilities are also very user-friendly, the network signal is good, and the most important thing is that such a hotel is only a hundred or ten yuan. The economy hotel is really recommended. This price is really much more cost-effective than other hotels, and compared with others, the environment and hygiene are much better. It is really recommended.
