Location is best. Small room but clean. Super near to people's park subway station, restos, shanghai food hall is across of the hotel and less than a minute walk to the pedestrian street. Though it's not soundproof, i think the hotel should improve that.

The hotel was clean. The lobby receiptionist were awesome. Right in front of Shanghai First Food Hall and M&M. The bed was spacious and clean. Love staying here!

Nice service, wash besin should be located inside bathroom, hotel location near the tourist area.

“I arrived at the Vienna Hotel Shanghai around midnight and accidentally left my bag in the taxi. The lady at the reception was incredibly helpful, going out of her way to help me contact the driver, even though she didn’t speak English. Her effort and kindness helped me get my bag back, and I’m very grateful for her assistance. The hotel’s location is perfect, right next to the bustling Nanjing Road, with a metro station just a few steps away. The room was clean and spacious. I’ll definitely stay here again. Thanks to the amazing staff!”

This hotel and room was perfect for what we wanted. We had a day layover and the hotel was able to check us in at 8am to give us plenty of time before we checked out later that evening. We couldn’t ask for a better location, just a few steps off of Nanjing pedestrian road and less than 5 minute walk from People’s square metro station.
We booked the windowless room which again was perfect for what we needed but is small and if staying longer I would definitely recommend a slightly bigger room with a window. The only other negative was that the room slightly smelt of smoke where someone had been smoking in it despite being a non smoking room.
I will definitely stay here again if in Shanghai as great location and staff were helpful.

Location is great and has 3 metro lines at people's square. Plenty of food at the side alleys and right in the heart of Nanjing road.
Escalators at exit 19 are not working so if you need to lug your luggage may be an issue.
room is really small so do not expect much. just a very basic room. What you pay is what you get. the toilet door has a slightly big gap so if it is not a couple, it is a little embarrassing
if you need to take a Didi, you will need to walk to another location to call or to drop off.

Staffs are nice and service mind well. Location is good and reasonable price. But there is strong smoke smell. I can handle but still feel pretty strong.

The location was great but the service was disappointing. If you have a foreign phone, you cannot really use Wi-Fi which was a big trouble for me. Also the room is not always clean and I saw a lot of dust here in there so I would recommend you to stay one or two days only.
