I can absolutely recommend the stay at Urside Hotel. I was approached with a delicious ice tea as a welcome drink which was a very nice gesture in the hot Shanghai summer. Also, everywhere detailed decoration with beautiful atmosphere made me feel very comfortable during my stay of six nights. Although the next metro station is roughly ten minutes away by feet, a possibility to grab a Didi was always given. The metro however is very conveniently located taking you to Lujiazui in less than 20 minutes. The location is nevertheless very beautiful being in a design parc right in the middle of the former Expo place. The Power Station of Art is just two minutes away by feet. E is also a very nice owner, offering a complimentary beer or coffee a day! The breakfast was exceptionally good, very nice to look at and even tastier to eat. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and can 10/10 recommend it.

Liked the interior design, very clean and convenient accommodation. To get to the bed you have to climb the stairs which might be difficult sometimes.

I loved this hotel. The service was excellent and the bistro seemed popular although I didn't get the chance to try out. The room felt very spacious because of the loft. The amenities were great, including lots of water and 2 cans of soda. The only drawback is that it is a bit of a walk to the nearest subway, which is hard in Shanghai summer heat.

Good loft style hotel. That’s the reason I booked this hotel. Location wise; around 10 minutes walking distance to the subway station. Located at the quiet area.

We had a good stay at Urside Hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel room was clean and quiet. It’s a bit out of the way in Shanghai so there are no restaurants nearby and it can be difficult to get a taxi. But overall we had a good stay and would recommend this place.

The place has an interesting proposal, rooms feel Like lofts with a very industrial atmosphere. Very cool design. There are a few problems with it though, the rooms is rather cold, heating is minimal and we were all freezing during the night. The hotel doesn’t offer any kind of bavarage or food and the location being quite removed from most shops makes it not very convenient. Very good location for visiting the Shanghai art biennal or any other exhibition at the power station. During the day you can find a couple of restaurants and cafes open, but at night your best bet is ordering. They do allow you to sit at the lobby to eat. Breakfast is weird. I would stay there again if visiting the power station but definitely in a less cold time of the year.

Amazing location and the included breakfast were RLY good!! 10/10 and the staffs here are very helpful, perfect for solo travelers :)

went for a 3d2n stay in an XL LOFT - enjoyed!! the hotel doesnt provide free breakfast and have to order seperately (RMB48 with a coffee provided). if you want a better food option and dont mind travelling - book a didi to nearest mall and have the local cuisine is better. loved the cute and rugged details in the room, all necessary amenities are provided in the room except there is no gym facility in the hotel; it's clean and a bunch of young polite staff. Teamlab shanghai is just a stone throw away. It is located near to the bund area and honestly, a very good jogging trail located nearby so if you are a runner, do explore this gem! do take note that it is not located in city centre, not much eateries around and at night it can be a rather quiet / dark neighborhood, not bustling area like Xintiandi / Nanjing street etc. therefore if u enjoy peacefulness and rugged stay with affordable room rate - do give it a try!

Nice design of the hotel and surrounding areas. Location is good as well but things like sockets or shower head look and feel hardly used and should be maintained. No one speaks english but it’s common across the mainland.

Really nice hotel, big room, amazing service, just a little bit out of everything, but quick ride with didi to the center.

Lovely big contemporary style room. Very very clean and comfortable with good detailing. One of the best loft based hotel rooms i lived. Like style of the room. Reception staff was quick and efficient in checking in. Would surely stay here again when have another chance.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Location is quite convenient. Good value for money.
