Merry Hotel Shanghai Reviews

Great service, great hotel, great quality. I am again in Shanghai and was scammed in other hotel which has fake opinions and terrible standard :'(. I am planning to back to merry hotel, because it was really great and professional.

For the second time , got a dusty room that triggered my sinus , i suffocated whole night, I had to report the matter to the reception , they came and cleaned only that area that had the dirt ,i however realized that the carpet had not been cleaned in a long time, there was no fresh air in the room , it was a huge disappointment because the first time was worse . overall the room was expensive but small and dirty .

The location was a bit far from the station and the hotel was not so clean unfortunately, many old stains, water leaking from shower and tub. Called reception but they told us to accept and move on..breakfast was ok, not amazing and not bad but expected a bit more from a four star hotel .

Good position near subway, near many restaurants. Room not so big but ok . Front desks kindly. I stay only one night and not had a breakfast .

In comparison to other hotels with the same price, this hotel really worth. Before, I stayed in more than 10 hotels near jiangsu road station with almost same price, but this was the best

The windows do not close well. Noise from the street can be heard. Apart from that everything was good.

Hotel Was Very Good neat And Clean. Metro Station Is also Very Near.

My stay at Merry Hotel was pleasant overall. The location was convenient, transportation was accessible, and the staff was friendly. However, during winter, the room's heating was occasionally too hot, with no way to adjust it. This affected the overall comfort of my stay. Despite this, the amenities and service were commendable.

All was really good. The locations is quite central, close to Jing’an temple and many bars and restaurants.

The hotel is well located, the room is ok for the price. The service is just ok.

We booked the hotel for the national holiday because others were full. The price was extremely inflated, but less so than others we found, and this location was better than most. The hotel is fine. My room was quite big (only one available) but very outdated and "tired." There was something crawling in the tub, and later something else crawling along the back of the toilet. The room was very warm and the air con didn't seem to have been working - probably the in-between season. The front desk staff was lovely and spoke English which was a nice bonus. The restaurants and bars were all closed, so we had to go out to get even a coffee or a beer. We did find a great little "dive bar" across the street, so... there's that. The stay was fine. If I had to I'd stay again, but there are too many other better hotels in the same price range, so I probably wouldn't choose this if there were other options available.

The service was nice. The hotel is pretty old and you can feel it after you enter in it. The smell of mold and stain on the walls are not very pleasant. The room is nice, clean and has small window. There is shower and bath tube in the bathroom and it is definitely good. Location of the hotel is fine, not far from the city centre and really convinient for both railway stations: Hongqsiao and main railway station.

We stayed here for two nights because we had come to visit the dr. at Jahui clinic. The location of the hotel is good because it is close to the JAHUI clinic. service is good , breakfast is good, they cater for Chinese and Western staff. Just disappointed that it doesn't have a swimming pool.
