I had an incredible experience at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Shanghai, thanks to Karina! From the moment I arrived, Karina went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. She was not only incredibly helpful with all my requests but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. Karina took the time to offer personalized recommendations, and her attention to detail was impeccable. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about their guests as much as she does. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and hope you have the chance to be assisted by Karina—she made my trip unforgettable!

The room is well-equipped and offers stunning views, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The design of the hotel is slightly older, but the room itself is functional and charming.
The pool and whirlpool, are well-maintained and offer a beautiful view, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Both areas are clean and thoughtfully designed. During our visit over Golden Week, the hotel was understandably busy, especially at breakfast. While the service throughout the hotel is professional, English proficiency is limited, except at the front desk, which mirrors the trend in many hotels in the region.

When it comes to accommodation the first thing I’ll check is about the negatives review of the host. But then I saw almost every hotels have a negative review! So I mean, no one is perfect right ! The next thing we do, we just go for the Pearl view one. My wife and I decided to stay in this hotel, man oh man, we’ve made the right choice. Everything is perfect. It worth the price so when you consider coming to China and looking for accommodation please check this place out! anyway thanks so much to Rosy, one of the receptionist who gave answers that’s helped a lot!
Ps: gotta try their breakfast and afternoon tea set!

Great view, the gym has modern facilities and also has great view. But the hotel is little crowded

The view from room over seeing the the pearl tower and bund area is nice. The bed is super comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly.
The roof bar was quite nice, allow us to visit without any fees. Rooftop aircon area was posh, the view from the outside non aircon area is nice, just a lot of smokers. Very crowded with on going queue, need booking in advance.
The power sockets in room seems little, especially there is only 1 around the bed area
Overall great hotel.

Nice hotel . Service is good but counter service can be improved. We asked to have same floor with my other friends but was rejected . Late check out is not allowed too.

Never felt better place like this, parents and us both enjoy the great view through the window, oriental pearl tower at your door step, sevices are unbelievable, people are nice , good to relax your body and spirit.will be back in the future.

Booked this hotel for my husband and our special anniversary. First trip for us without kids in 13 years. Rather disappointing experience. Service so poor. Had to get our luggage from downstairs to the room ourselves, room service came into the room without knocking, had to tell the waiter during breakfast to please take some used plates away as they were piling up on the table, breakfast personnel don’t know what a decaf coffee is. It took us 10min to explain to them and yet still the order was wrong. Service in the restaurant Scena di Angelo poor - the aperol was not an aperol and everything took so long. Waitress didn’t know what a medium rare steak was. Won’t come again to the Ritz. Not worth the money.
