Incredible hotel, trusted brand. Easy and thorough checkin process. The only downside is the noise that comes from the bathroom toilet throughout the night. No blackout curtains, so the day starts and ends with you. Breakfast is amazing. Overall great time spent.

Wonderful service and impeccable standards. Hotel was lovely and the staff were always helpful and polite. In particular, the concierge staff| Mr Johnny went the extra mile to help me with ordering things online. Highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel very old Rooms need to be refurbished and some leaking problems from shower to the bedroom carpet also windows get to much humidity air conditioning to much noise for the price there’s better choice in the same area.

Intercontinental is one of the best chain hotel in the world. It doesn’t make you feel disappointed when staying here. The hotel is located not so far from Metro line 2 at Century Avenue. It is Metro interchange station which leads to go around sightseeing in Shanghai and very convenient to go back to Pudong Airport at Longyang station by Metro line 2 or you choose Line 2 to go back as well. Great service to welcome as guest. Good room with superb view and lines of breakfast for your option. Recommend 👍

There was nothing terrible about my experience here, but just felt that for a 5 star hotel, there was really nothing that stood out to me as 5 star. It's worth noting that there is significant renovations happening at the moment, so the drive/lobby is covered, the pool is shut and there are workmen looking through your window throughout the day. I was offered a room upgrade (without asking - I assume to reflect these inconveniences), but I if I had been notified upon booking, I wouldn't have chosen to stay here, so felt a little cheated. General points: - Service is friendly enough, but not particularly competent or efficient. English language level of staff is generally very low. - Lobby and communal areas are very underwhelming - Breakfast: decent quality spread, but again, service was not fantastic - Gym/Fitness suite - small and very basic facilities Overall, an average 4 star experience with 5 star pricing and very few redeeming features. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I was just a little disappointed by the gym facilities, In general from the inside the hotel is perfect, on the outside it is unfortunately not the most beautiful but totally ok for this price, I am super excited, location is top (10/10).

Service not great overall: -hotel was under renovation but did not get informed at all, couldn't use some amenities. -Was denied entry to breakfast because I wore my hotel slippers... -got charged 78 RMB for a rice and soda.

Hotel is nice and has many restaurants and bars nearby. It’s close to the Bund. For the price I’ll stay here again.

Front desk staff especially Estalla are very friendly and welcoming, unlike the hotel staff from SheratonGrand Shanghai. House keeping aunties were extremely polite and friendly too. Room was nice and clean, except that air conditioning was very warm especially when the afternoon sun shines into the room. A 5 star hotel which lives to its reputation. An unusual thing about the room was the many small useless display shelves, I wonder what were their purposes. ROLF.
