Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden On the Bund Reviews

Very nice and helpful hotel staff. The room is clean and spacious. One night, there’s some noises at around 3 or 4am I thought it came from my room’s bathroom (sounds like door knocking and things falling). Then the next day I checked with the hotel staff and understood it’s due to the delivery of clean beddings at the storage next door not other funny stories.

Modern and clean. Getting around was convenient via Didi, their local ride hailing app. Hotel provides complimentary shuttle to nearby attractions, e.g The Bund. Checked in very late due to late arrival of our flight without any issues. There is a mall across the road if you need a quick bite - cross over via the pedestrian bridge. No complaints! One of the better Mercure chains around.

It was a great experience, close to Yu garden and the Bund. Everything was within walking distance. The staff were very helpful. They also have a shuttle bus service! Highly recommended!

Our family of 9 came and checked into 4 rooms @ Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden. The location was excellent, it was very convenient to many tourist attractions. Yu garden was within a 5 min walking distance. For those who need a break from Shanghai/Chinese food, conveniently across the street was a food mall with McDonald's, Dominos, Tim's, Dairy Queen, Noodle Shops, Dumpling Shop, and many more other food options. Located inside mall was also Luo Ma grocery/convenience store. Industrial Bank was next door with 2 atms and branch opening 9-5. Hotel seemed freshly renovated, clean and modern. Hotel offered choice of pillows from buckwheat to lavender. There was free coffee, tea bags, water, cola, sparkling water in the fridge. Breakfast buffet was good, it wasn't included in our room rate but somehow we weren't charged additional us$10.78 for breakfast. The staff at the reception desk were efficient, check in was quick and easy. They helped me with calling 3 taxis as I was not familiar with didi car hailing app yet. Great lobby area. Excellent hotel, great location and super helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends coming to Shanghai.

Enjoyed it since nearby food and attractions. We walked just around the area, its safe and very nice staff.

Service was very nice, we would stay here again! Stayed at room 508, every day with unlimited bottled water, midnight snack and great service! Hot water also great and bed was very large.

Room is clean and well maintained and is in good size. Free minibar drinks during stays. Can choose latex or buckwheat pillows. Location is quite near to Yu Garden. Hotel also provides free Shuttle service to nearby MRT Stations, Yu Garden, The Bund, XiTiandi and few others nearby locations.

Great experience for stay in this hotel. The amenities is good & with pleasant staff.
