I highly recommend this hotel. Although the rooms were rather standard, they were well kept and very clean. But what stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay, not just our time in the hotel but our trip to Chongming island itself. They suggested many fun activities nearby for the kids such as catching crab (they even provided us with the equipment). Via Wechat they sent us suggestions and directions as well as calling to follow up our enquires). The hotel staff even helped setup our own little fishing expedition in front of their hotel! Will definitely stay in this hotel the next time we visit.

The long table in the living room is very large, and there is no pressure for more than a dozen people to have a meal together. The TV projection is not good, not suitable for karaoke, and there is a mahjong table. The service staff are all locals in Chongming. Although there are many people on holiday, they are all very warm and polite. I don’t recommend the hotel in the resort, Donghu Fishery House. There are not many tables in the whole hall. There are 6 cold dishes and 8 hot dishes. It took two hours to eat. The serving speed was extremely slow, and 1 hot dish was returned. The amount of food is small and the price is expensive. The dried amaranth with a few pine nuts that can be grasped with one fist is priced at 42 yuan. Recommended to stay, not recommended to eat!

The camp manager monitored the situation of the camp throughout the whole process. In the morning, when the wind and rain were the strongest, he was still patrolling to solve various emergencies and calm everyone's emotions. At noon, because everyone was trapped in the house, the camp managers also provided free lunch boxes and water for everyone; because the bridge was closed, the camp also delayed check-out for everyone for free until the road was open to traffic. In the face of extreme weather, the responsibility and humanity shown by the camp are really touching. With such a manager, the Sea Starry Sky Camp will definitely get better and better!
