This is the second time I stayed in this youth hostel. I also stayed there once at the end of July last year.
Facilities: Very complete. There are washing machines, microwaves, etc. The only drawback I think is that the place to hang clothes is not very good, but it is not a big problem. I put the clothes in the room to dry them (.
Hygiene: Very clean! The bed is also very comfortable. I slept very well.
Environment: There are two cats in the lobby. What a surprise. There was only one cat when I came last year. Hahaha. It is a plus for me who likes cats. The environment is very good and relatively quiet. Sometimes there are free snacks in the lobby (this time I made cold cakes?) Although it’s a pity that I didn’t taste them because I was too full.
Service: Very good! If you have any questions, ask the customer service and they will answer patiently.
The location is very good. It is very convenient to go to Jing’an Temple and other places on Jiangsu Road. I hope it can help tourists who travel alone like me😁

I stayed here for the second time. The room was clean. I especially want to thank the lady at the front desk for being so considerate and meticulous! I brought my child to Shanghai on a business trip. During the meeting, the child was resting in the hotel. The cleaning lady, the front desk lady, and the hotel staff enthusiastically helped to take care of the child and helped to take the luggage and change the room. I was also relieved that the child was in the hotel. I will come again next time if I have the chance!

I bought a king-size bed room, which is more cost-effective for one person. The hotel is just under the Yan'an West Road elevated road, and there is a ground parking lot, with convenient transportation. It is very close to Huashan Hospital. It takes less than ten minutes to get there by taxi in the morning. There is a snack street next to the hotel, and breakfast is on Jiangsu Road. The hotel has a small balcony for drying clothes. The two girls at the front desk are very enthusiastic and full of human touch. It is also a good fate to meet them when you go out for medical treatment.

It’s an interesting hostel for foreigners since most locations only accept Chinese resident card holders to book - except this location. The service is good and it is a clean place. Albeit I stayed in the ten person dorm so you simply just accept some amount of messiness. But they supply slippers and very nice storage with electronic locks. The bedding is good enough and it is clean. I found it easy to take a shower and there’s a large lobby front room area that is nice to hang out in. The location is great. It’s only a short bike ride to Zhongshan park. As far as hostels go, it’s a pretty good one. And much cheaper than many hostels in the city.

Bad aspects 1: The hygiene is average, there is a small amount of wet hair in the bathroom, and there are still wet stains on the toilet and bathroom floor. 2: It is known as a smart concept hotel, but its ”Xiaodu” response ability and conversational communication ability are not smart at all. However, this is probably not the hotel's fault. China's machine intelligence level needs to be improved. 3: I paid extra money to choose one with windows, but it turns out there are windows, even if they are small. The problem is that there is a wall blocking the outside of the windows. Isn’t this the same as having no windows?
Good points 1: The water flow in the bath is strong and the bath is very comfortable. 2: Although the response to the intelligence aspect of ”Xiaodu” is not satisfactory, it is still intelligent after all, and it is still a bit fresh for the first time. 3: The location of the hotel is quite good, close to Huadong Hospital and the subway entrance.

The location was a bit far from the station and the hotel was not so clean unfortunately, many old stains, water leaking from shower and tub. Called reception but they told us to accept and move on..breakfast was ok, not amazing and not bad but expected a bit more from a four star hotel .

This is one of my favourites in Shanghai due to its location, price and lovely staff.
I have stayed over five times and now the staff are beginning to remember me so I’ve picked up the odd upgrade which is also a bonus!
The gym is small but with a good use of space to allow for some cardio and a multi-purpose pulley system for free weights.
The location is excellent and even though it is next to a main road, I’ve NEVER had a bad nights sleep.

The environment is not bad, the location is good, close to the subway station, Line 2 and Line 11 are accessible, and it is only two stops on Line 2 to the Bund Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, which is very convenient. It is about 1 km away from Jing'an Temple. The front desk staff in the store are very enthusiastic. They will try their best to help you if you have any questions. It's very good. Kudos to all the staff, they are very polite and friendly! And they are very efficient too, when we encounter some issues regarding the bathroom, they solve it immediately within few minutes. Not to mention, the staff that clean and clear our room, they are so systematic and always greeted us with a smile! The location of this hotel is very strategic, located in the centre of different metro line, just few meters away from the hotel, so is elderly friendly. The buffet breakfast is superb, with lots of varieties, a fusion of eastern and western dishes. Besides, there is a food stall just few meters behind the hotel, selling fried rice and other Chinese snacks, their 手抓饼 is very crispy and tasty! Overall, my parents like this hotel so much as the rooms are very comfy and clean, this hotel definitely on our top list when we revisit Shanghai next time!

SSusan Ng WilliamsOur family of 9 came and checked into 4 rooms @ Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden. The location was excellent, it was very convenient to many tourist attractions. Yu garden was within a 5 min walking distance. For those who need a break from Shanghai/Chinese food, conveniently across the street was a food mall with McDonald's, Dominos, Tim's, Dairy Queen, Noodle Shops, Dumpling Shop, and many more other food options. Located inside mall was also Luo Ma grocery/convenience store. Industrial Bank was next door with 2 atms and branch opening 9-5. Hotel seemed freshly renovated, clean and modern. Hotel offered choice of pillows from buckwheat to lavender. There was free coffee, tea bags, water, cola, sparkling water in the fridge. Breakfast buffet was good, it wasn't included in our room rate but somehow we weren't charged additional us$10.78 for breakfast. The staff at the reception desk were efficient, check in was quick and easy. They helped me with calling 3 taxis as I was not familiar with didi car hailing app yet. Great lobby area. Excellent hotel, great location and super helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends coming to Shanghai.

AASLSEnjoyed my stay here very much. The location is very nice and about 20 minutes walk from South Sha'anxi Road metro station. Very bustling area with lots of interesting shops and large malls nearby. Room was a bit small but had everything I needed and was clean with a comfortable shower and bathroom. Staff was very nice and helpful, and could also speak some English. Overall enjoyed my stay and worth the price, and I'd stay here again next time! Thanks!!

Base from my true experiences, I booked here the night before traveling to Shanghai. Once I check out from hotel in Guangzhou, front desk lady help me called reception at Shanghai Novotel Hotel Chuansha to ask if they can pick me and my partner at Pudong Airport as they advertised for a complimentary shuttle bus.
The lady at Novotel cannot speak English so I passed to the front desk lady in Guangzhou and got to know that I have to book a shuttle bus a day ahead. I accepted this because I read info, just have hope if they could help customer with this, anyway I flew to Shanghai and went hotel by myself.
On the way to Shanghai, I still have hope that receptionist at NOVOTEL will be able to speak English. When I arrived there, I met 3 receptionists and NONE OF THEM CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. We had a tough time to communicate. I have my own language and English, also broken Chinese but we still not understand each other. I had to call a friend of mine in Taiwan to speak Chinese to them.
Again, I wanted to book a shuttle bus to Disney land for the next day and they ask me to have a Wechat app to see a detail and communicate. Since I do not have China mainland mobile number so I cannot make a Wechat work on my phone. My ********* friend still help me out with this.
At that time, another lady came, seem like she work for shuttle bus thing. I do understand that Chinese tone of voice always loud but I cannot see mercy on her face. She consisted that we still need a Wechat. One lady there said, I have to take a taxi without Wechat even though the hotel provided us a free shuttle bus to Disneyland. At this point I a little upset as there is no choice that they can call or set me a time for my travel, _ucking asked me to take a taxi. I do not mind to pay for taxi but we have never been here so we worry about other unexpected factor could happen.
Further more, I went there on my girlfriend birthday to celebrate her birthday. I decided to take it here a last minute and I asked if they could have a card written Happy Birthday to her. Only I know is ”NO CARD, NO CARD!!!! bad service mind ever, disappointed and felt give up with Novotel
Yes, I picked NOVOTEL because I really hope they provided international services. I was a member of ACCOR PLUS and experienced such good services but since I experienced here, I am a failure.
I actually have 2 more nights in Shanghai after 2nights here. I was thinking to move out all the time because me and my partner felt suffocate with a service. I do not talk to them anymore as it is useless T___T
I even tried with my broken Chinese but I cannot feel that they put an effort to serve their guesses. No bellboy, air-conditioning at public area is pretty warm.
To be honest, the place is good, bed is comfy and we tired from playing things in Disney land park so I extended to book for one more night then I do not need to rush for checking out. I went reception floor, this time a girl with glasses, seem kind and she is fluent in English help me check in for my last night here :)
Whole time staying here I kept my mouse shut because don't want to feel unpleasant anymore and I feel like the robot that delivery food downstairs is working better than human lol.
Eventually, I did tried until I can log into Wechat to found that the text were written in Chinese only. I still can travel with a hotel shuttle bus even I do not read thing on Wechat (我看不懂) 😔 I definitely won't be back here even things are good.
Hotel is providing everything we needed which is good but they should hire people who able to speak English or people who able to use translate on google and else to communicate as they open for the whole world guess. Not only Chinese on earth but also another language exists. Last thing, key of hospitality is ”SERVICE MIND”

Unable to travel over the festive season, I decided to treat myself to a few days in a local hotel. What other choice was there, other than the Bvlgari?
Prior to my arrival I received a call from the hotel. They confirmed my arrival time, made dinner reservations for me, added me to WeChat and offered me any other help that I required.
Upon arrival I was greeted by Eva. She checked me in and immediately offered me a late check out time of 14:00. This was extended further on the final day to 16:00. Fantastic! More time to relax by the pool and in the sauna.
Having checked me in, Eva gave me a tour of the property. The Bvlgari is stunning!From the stylish restoration of the Chamber of Commerce building to the sleek, modern interior of the main building.
The Bvlgari is located in an excellent position by Suzhou Creek. It offers dazzling views of Lujiazui , the Huangpu River and the rear of The Bund. Perhaps one of the best views in the city.
Of course, the room was magnificent. Huge TV, super comfortable bed, walk-in wardrobe and a wide selection of drinks and snacks, most of which were complimentary. I especially thought the pillow mist was a nice touch.
In addition to the welcome snacks, Eva brought me a desert from their little cabin outside. A delicious Italian, vanilla donut- like desert. Good job I didn’t have lunch that day.
I dined at both the Italian and Chinese restaurants. Both of which offer amazing food.
The Italian presents simplistic fare with the emphasis on fresh ingredients. The vegetable broth and specialty bread is to die for.
The Chinese restaurant offers high quality Cantonese food and an alternative wine selection to that in the main building.

Le Mer products are used in the spa! Yes, this is fantastic. My therapist, Daisy, had me in the state of being between consciousness and unconsciousness many times during the course of my treatment. Just what I was looking for.
The staff at the Bvlgari are excellent. Young, professional and obviously well trained, evident through their subject knowledge and warm hearted service.
All the staff consistently addressed me by name and ensured that my stay was perfect.
Whilst at the bar, one of the girls presumed I was asking for the bill, when actually I was asking for another drink. I left to visit the WC and returned to find a note apologizing for her misunderstanding of English accompanying a complimentary desert with my drink. That was amazing! Thank you, Elsker.
It’s often the small things that make a difference. Whilst walking to my room one of the room attendants was vacuuming the carpet. She abruptly stopped and waited for me to pass. Whilst at the pool, I headed towards the jacuzzi. Some of the staff appeared to be fixing or checking something, but they swiftly disappeared as I emerged.
Upon checkout, Eva was waiting for me with a gift bag containing chocolates. This was in addition to the luggage tags and toiletries that were gifted by the turn down service the previous night. Eva called me a car to take me home. Whilst I waited she filled my gift bag with sweets from the huge jars of confectionery in the lobby. As the doorman approached to let me know my car had arrived, he also presented a small gift of Bvlgari toiletry products.
What an amazing experience.! Truly remarkable.
I will definitely return and I’ll be adding locations in Paris, London, Bali and Milan to my list of places to visit.

The only things I found could've been improved or could be better with my stay we're that there was only one chair on my balcony, only one bathrobe and pair of slippers we're prepared s well. There was also a desert prepared in the room, but it was sour.

HhannahbananahI love Yiqinyuan for the calm and peaceful forest, I walked by myself during the last day and if you do visit, try to do it without any gadget. Just bring your keycard. Walk through the tall trees, hear the birds, feel the sun and inhale fresh air.
It is very sad that I have a non-refundable ticket that made me not enjoy the accomodation I booked. Since it was the coldest day of the year they decided to move all guests who stays in the container van rooms to their building rooms. To move In their main building I need to add more payment and we were relocated to building 5. It was also an advantage since the Foresta Cafe was there and the playroom (not so much in there but still worth the visit). However, the room we were in was so dusty, the aircon was blowing some dusty air and the carpet was so dirty. It ruined the whole trip and even of they were able to change the beddings and vacuum the carpet it was still tickling our noses. We were really looking forward to a nice Christmas trip but yeah. I booked 3 nights because we really love the place. 😭 The next day I asked again to be moved to a different room, they said they were fully booked but alas there was an available room next to us. The first room was so inconvenient because whenever we turn the lights off the WIFI also goes off. The fridge was not working well, the temperature outside was much better. The second room was better than the first room but the exhaust fan wasn't working.
The breakfast was only located in the main restaurant which was 15 mins (waiting for the electric car) away from our building. It was a race to get to breakfast and the seating was not enough to be near the buffet. Time is running and you have Marathon between your table and the buffet table. Food was great though they alternate between the dates. Dinner was also good and had great service but not so much choice of small dished for a small family. Local food at it's best!
La Foresta Cafe was interesting. They helped us keep our Christmas pies in their fridge. The only way to order was via the QR on the table but the catch was you have to pay right away for your order to go through which waa different from the main restaurant. So there we were waiting for our food but they didn't really get through and had to end up sitting and waiting for an hour. The next day it took 30 mins. for the food to come. The taste was good serving was big, can share.
The electric cars were very prompt and the drivers were very kind and polite.
The food again was really yummy!
The staff were friendly too.
You can buy swan/duck feed at 5rmb/2 packs at the coffee shop at the reception.
They were giving away eyemask and heatpacks.
The bottles water was also free. The snack at the room was cheaper than the vending machine.
It is far from the town so make sure you have what you need before heading to the resort.
They have hangers and iron in every room at building 5 where we stayed.
Not a lot of English speaking staff so bring some Mandarin phrases or get ready with a translator APP.
After a long mixed review I just wish that the resort informed us ahead that the accomodation will not be available and made an option for rebooking or ensure better accomodation it was really a hassle.

GGuest UserExcellent location, we asked for a higher room and got it. The junior suite is looking old but it is clean and we slept well. Nice bathroom. We could smell cigarette in the hallways on several occasions although it is supposed to be non smoking. No coffee in the room and a couple of teabags well hidden. Breakfast not included in the room but too expensive to get at the hotel. Nice view from the room and 2 minutes away from metro station and from pedestrian street

TTrippin’Great experience from check in to check out.. Breakfast buffet available. Great fitness, spa, and swimming pool area that all opens at 8a (late for a fitness area since we like early morning workouts). The from desk staff very organized and accommodating. Room service and other dining options throughout the day available. Perfect location to walk to the Jing’An area and even Kerry Centre. Easy pick up cabins for meituan. Will stay again if I make another appointment.

AAnonymous UserHotel stay was really nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay and thought it was well worth the price. The only downside is that our room smelled a little bit like someone had smoked in it but it wasn’t a big deal. The location also isn’t super central, but we hadn’t explored the northern part of Shanghai before so it was cool to see. There is a really good noodle place like a 15 min walk from the hotel. There is also an underground market at one of the stations for line 10 close by. Underrated area in my opinion!
