We flew into the tiny Sandown airport on the Isle of Wight and spent a totally relaxed and stress free long birthday weekend for my wife’s birthday at the beginning of May staying with the charming and attentive David and Arielle at their boutique Haven Hall hotel just outside Shanklin. The beautiful decor and wonderful views complimented the wonderfully spacious rooms. We took full advantage of the hotel’s situation on the coastal pathway and that it is ideally situated for sightseeing the many areas of interest all around the Island. Breakfast on the terrace in May was perhaps a bonus this year but the views from the extensive grounds were consistently breathtaking. Although no evening meals were available David was particularly helpful with his guidance about dining and as a result we had some superb meals. A return visit is a certainty!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, where the highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking sea views. The rooms are elegantly designed, with tasteful decor and windows that open up to panoramic ocean views. It’s incredibly peaceful—perfect for unwinding while listening to the gentle sound of the waves. The entire atmosphere is serene and relaxing, making it an ideal escape for anyone looking to recharge by the sea.

Sehr schöner Ort, schöne Zimmer mit sehr toller Aussicht. Auch David und Arielle waren sehr nett. Der Garten war sehr gut gepflegt und das Poolareal war auch mega schön. David hat uns viel über das Haus erzählt und hat uns auch die besten Restaurants in der Gegend vorgeschlagen, wirklich ein guter Service

Très bel endroit, vue magnifique sur cette île où le temps semble suspendu. Grand jardin paysagé avec beau tennis en gazon, piscine et sauna. Chambres confortables avec kitchenette Accueil sympathique. Villages charmants avec de nombreux petits magasins.

This property is an absolute gem! The grounds are stunning overlooking the sea. Our room was spacious and wonderfully appointed with restored antiques. The staff was delightful and helpful at every turn. We can highly recommend Haven Hall!

Fantastisch schöne Lage mit weitem Blick übers Meer und schöner Gartenanlage, freundliches Personal und feinem Frühstück, sehr schönes sauberes und grosszügiges, Zimmer. Für's Swimmingpool und Tennisplatz leider etwas zu kakt und windig.

Thank you David and Arielle for the truly wonderful stay at your place. From the moment David met us at the drive it felt like a premium experience. The house is so beautifully restored with grounds that are so lovely to be in. Our apartment was absolutely fantastic, the quality of everything felt like a true home away from home. We really enjoyed every moment of being here. The breakfast was great and to have it on the car and a with those sea views was perfect.
