This homestay is a China original, a pioneer of the homestay revolution and it remains a leader today providing affordable and excellent service in a traditional home full of quirks and quality right in the centre of Shexian a few steps from the main city wall gates. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and the food is great, recognized as one of the best in the city. I already miss Hua Mulan, the friendly ginger snub nosed long haired cat that sits at the front door scrutinizing and welcoming newcomers and guests alike. She likes to be tickled on her head and cheeks best

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town. From the third-floor terrace, you can even see the yamen. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, offering plenty of travel advice. The innkeeper is very talkative and speaks fluent English. If you want to learn more about China, be sure to have a chat with her. The restaurant on the first floor is also delicious. Highly recommended. Highly recommended.

Very good location. Just located 1 minute’s walk away from the most famous memorial archway. The staff are very friendly. They are all locals and provide me with lots of useful travel advice. The room is clean and comfortable, and the decoration style is very historical as well. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, and the food is very good. I also really love this small county. The locals are really nice and always say hi to you when you walk on the street. It’s also not far away from the Yellow Mountain. The staff helped to book a taxi for me, and it only took me 1 hour to get there.

I normally can't bring myself to write reviews but in this case it is hard not to write one, for all the best reasons. September Huizhou is a homely inn which breathes Ghibli vibes. The inn is located in the middle of the old town, which you can oversee from the rooftop terrace. You can sit in the lobby for hours while sipping some tea and petting the inn's furry permanent guests (see photos). I have had issues with cleanliness in many hotels I stayed at in China, but not here. Will definitely come for another visit.

Nice for the experience of an ancient home. Less if you expect a comfortable hotel room. Beds extremly hard and bouncy. Could not close the window: noisy in the morning from street and neighbours. But all in all ok for one night.

Like all the old houses in the town, it is full of history and heaviness. The wooden steps creak when you step on them, like the whisper of the times. The terrace on the fourth floor overlooks the old city, and the wooden windows in the room are satisfying. All my fantasies about life in Jiangnan. That night when there was a sudden power outage due to flooding will probably stay in my memory for many years. I put down my electronic products, sat in front of the window and watched the sky getting fainter. Everything returned to its original state of life. The store manager Xiaoyu ran A lot of emergency supplies were delivered up and down, the room was lit with the incense of mugwort to repel mosquitoes, the candlelight was dim, and there were the sounds of people enjoying the shade downstairs talking softly. All the senses were opened by the dark night. People's way of life for thousands of years is also being imagined and resonated. A special experience, thank you for the inn's thoughtful care.

The room is very comfortable, the air conditioner works well and is well-equipped (thank you to the store for upgrading the room for us). The inn is an Hui-style building with a beautiful environment. The cat is super cute and I played with it for a long time☺️ Downstairs is my own private kitchen, and the tea is fragrant The chicken is delicious! There are flowers planted on the rooftop on the third floor, and I saw an aunt drying bamboo shoots on the wooden stairs. The store owner was very nice and helped us a lot. My favorite accommodation during this trip, I will definitely choose this place again if I come to She County next time

The room was satisfactory, clean and tidy, and beautifully decorated. The store manager helped us upgrade to a room on the third floor. There was a terrace next to it with many flowers. We could sit and chat and admire the moon at night. There are also two kittens in the store, with very nice and cute personalities. The inn chef's cooking was so delicious. The last meal we had here was unexpectedly the best meal we had in She County. All in all, a very satisfying experience!

The most satisfying accommodation during this National Day trip. First of all, I really like Huizhou Mansion. After all, it was once the seat of Huizhou Mansion for thousands of years. It is full of quaint charm, just like a magnificent historical museum. The key point is that it does not charge admission fees. Compared with the grand hotel Cunxi Express is not very cost-effective. Then Huizhou B&B in September was the icing on the cake. There were not many people staying that day and the store manager moved me to the third floor. There is a rooftop garden at the door and next to the room. I can have a drink during the Mid-Autumn Festival and admire the moon. It couldn't be more wonderful! Finally, I would like to praise the beautiful and elegant proprietress. The layout of the hotel is very humanistic, the two cats are super cute, and Jiu Xiaoman’s food is super delicious. Well, I will definitely come again if I have the chance!

In particular, it has the architectural style of Huizhou. I think staying in this hotel is like visiting the ancient city of Huizhou. You can see the archway of the Great Scholars from the balcony on the third floor. The hotel's favorite pet, Mulan, is also very cute.

Because in the old house, objectively speaking, the room is relatively damp and smelly, but this room smells quite big, the manager’s service is very good, and there are two cute Garfield cats in the inn.

The view from the terrace is great! The environment of the inn is also very comfortable! It is especially important to emphasize! Their homemade dishes are super delicious! It directly sublimated my trip to Huizhou! I ordered the sour soup tripe stew and stinky mandarin fish! All delicious! ! ! Recommended by friends, comfortable and convenient In April 2014, the BBC film crew stationed in Huizhou in September to film the Anhui chapter of the documentary "the story of China" (no organized arrangement, pure chance encounter). It has become the only Chinese homestay that may have been photographed in the BBC documentary so far. In November and September of 2014, Huizhou ranked first in the accommodation recommendation of She County in the second edition of the "Lonely Planet. Anhui" travel guide. I will come to She County for a business trip again in July 2023, and several friends recommended September Huizhou B&B to me.

I ate local specialties such as stinky mandarin fish, noodles with mountain bamboo shoots, small wontons, tofu, stone dumplings, and various cakes of tiger stove snacks that lined up for 30 minutes ..., haha, I am very satisfied with this trip, the most satisfying thing is the chosen homestay - September Huizhou, the location is super good, very close to the attractions, saving a lot of time, the environment is warm and very artistic , with a sense of freshness and fashion in the antique style, very comfortable [bad laugh] The first floor of the inn is September’s own restaurant. This time we made a plan, but unfortunately we didn’t try the food and drink. I really like the atmosphere of the inn, which is kind of home I felt very quiet at night and had a good rest. I went to feel the dancing fish lanterns, and went to the coffee shop above Yanghemen to enjoy the short play of Hui style costumes. The children had a very happy time. The two-day stay was very pleasant. , the store manager Xiaoyu is warm and thoughtful. Before we set off, he sent us the parking location, hotel location, travel guide and route, etc., very careful, and gave us a lot of help when traveling. The hand-painted map of the hotel room is very practical. I like it. By the way, the first floor of the inn and the street view outside are very poetic. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures because I don’t like taking pictures. I will recommend it to friends who go to Huizhou.
