First, the welcome all the way from the airport was warm and cozy. The guy at the front desk, Mr Koech was of great help as well as the waiter who attended to us,just that I forgot his swahili name. I'm definitely going back there, and for my vacation peeps, if you've not been to Lamu, then you haven't seen the beautiful coast yet. Cheers to Kijani resort team for making the stay worthwhile. 👏👏

A really enjoyable lunch - we both had the Swahili fish curry which was knockout!. The service was very friendly and professional. The hotel looks really very nice, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. A lovely way to spend a lunch time! Highly recommended

Another very nice trip to Lamu and a unforgettable stay at Kijani! The beautiful sea facing room was perfect! Now with AC in the rooms even the hot nights without wind are very comfortable! The staff is so lovely and friendly, it makes you feel coming home to family!

This was the ideal hotel on the island. Situated prominently in Sheila and managed by very helpful staff. Yes, there were a couple of issues such as milk not being delivered for early morning tea and irregular wi fi but this was quickly reacted to by the staff hence the five stars. The restaurant ws on a par with Pepponis the other major hotel in Sheila. Rooms were huge and it was good to take advantage of the terrace overlooking the harbour especially at breakfast.

The Kijani is a beautiful Hotel with well kept tropical grounds and aesthetically pleasing rooms and suits. Rooms are furnished with Swahili antiques. The breakfast is delicious with a vast Menü to choose from. The restaurant has a gorgeous view over the bay. Restaurant provides gourmet experiences of international and Swahili cuisine which can match Restaurants in Los Angeles or elsewhere. Staff is accommodating is super friendly. If you are looking to unplug from western civilization but still spoil yourself the Kihjani is an excellent choice

My girlfriend and I stayed at Kijani for 3 nights. It has all the amenities you could possibly need and a beautiful garden area with a pool. The staff are so friendly and are always on hand to help you with nothing being too much effort. The restaurant is also home to some of the best seafood I have ever had. Overall, fantastic value for money!

This is my 3rd time staying at Kijani and once again I had the best of times. Top on my list is the hospitable staff (Elizabeth, Issa, Fred to mention but a few) , you feel right at home. I have previously visited as a solo traveler and would highly recommend for solo travelers too The food is absolutely amazing and they offer gluten free and lactose free options too. The sea food options and smoothie bowls are a must try The rooms are clean and have a Coastal vibe going, they all have an amazing view, be it the the ocean view or the absolutely beautiful garden with the pool, or both. I also love that they are environmentally conscious with zero plastic and non-toxic personal care items PS: Make sure you try the sunrise walk on the beach and the sunset dhow cruise

Kijani was a wonderful 4 night stay - comfortable, really spacious rooms, an amazing courtyard and pool area to relax in and a great restaurant - the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious (especially the famous fish curry) and even when we were not eating there the smell of fresh fish roasting over coal in the early evening never failed to get the appetite going. The best part of the stay was the staff who were fantastic from check-in to check-out - all of them super friendly and helpful, no ask or request too much and smiling at all times. A special shout-out to Bonnie who accompanied us to and from the airport with such care and great conversation (we are very happy Arsenal beat Southampton by the way Bonnie). Highly recommend to visit wonderful Lamu, and you won't regret a stay at Kijani.
